I mean honestly who in their right mind believes the world is going to come to an end on a random date chosen by the Mayans, which brings up another problem with this theory... we at this time and date use the Gregorian calendar which is based on the Greco-Roman calendar. The Mayans and Romans didn't use the same "start" date. So we are trying to convert an ancient calendar system from a society that were destroyed LONG before most of our ancestors came to the Americas and trying to convert it to the Gregorian? Come on!
If you use any of several other calenders we are well above the 2012 mark, take the Judaism's calendar, we're in the 5768 year range.

I was looking at the History Channel and they said it does not mean the End or the world it just stopped at that date. its kinda creepy if you ask me that every religion has the same ending date. Some say a demon of some sort will appear that day and that the world will see it. how you ask ?> The news stations around the world will show it. again that is the saying. check out Historychannel.com or the channel on cable.
