i was looking at the superhonda.com forum and they have a thread talking about points and some of the posters there were talking about having 85 million points or something like that. look up the thread with a link to a cartoon carachter that talks about people on forums, very funny

It's for people who praise you. They give you positive reputation.
It's also for cowards who can leave you a negative feedback.

Most people who leave a positive will leave their name written so you will know who left it. On the other hand most people who leave a negative reputation will not include their name in act of their cowardice.

The reputation system is not a big deal.

the reputation on my local forum comes and goes. its a huge joke on there though. we have a "rep's on....boob thread" thread when it was brought back, it was recently dissabled and now we have a "rep's off.....boob thread". no on takes it seriously.

overall i think its meant to be used with the classified sections, positive rep for good deals and negative for bad deals...

I think I am one of the few that has almost always signed mine whether they are positive or negative. Looking at my rep points I have 24 rep points, only two of them are signed and both from the same member...
