ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

    which cb7 would you take!

All right here we go i been looking for a cb7 for three weeks. This is what i found two that i like the problem is that one has alot of miles and the other has slightly bad body nothing to major. The first on is a 1991 for $2,000 it has 226,372 the guy says they are highway miles. On a scale of 1 to 10 the 1 being bad an 10 being good the body is a easy 8 1/2 no dents very very little scratches the interior is like a 7 not to bad it's a five speed no knocks or smoke when i started it. An the other is a 1990 for 2,700 with 150,427 the body is a 4 it has rust not to bad the clear coat is coming off and it has dings all over. The interior is a 6 no that bad it's a five speed to no knocks or smoke either. Which would you pick the one for 2,700 they wont go down on there price either

IMO take the high mileage one. If the motor sounds good, the oil looks okay, it runs and shifts good with a clean body and a decent interior? It's probably a pretty good indicator that the car was taken care of. The other one sounds like it's in worse condition, which would lead me to believe it hasn't been maintained well.

I sold cars for a while IMO I would test drive both. And if it came down to it take the one with the better body. Rust is cancer and causes you to have to put money in the body.

It is way cheaper to replace an engine in a CB than to have quality body and paint done.
Take that freek show to the park, maybe the squirrels will care.

i wouldn't take either one. they are asking way too much for an 18 year old car. I wouldnt pay more than 1500 dollars. I dont care for milage, like JDMChristian said

mine got 198xx. This guy was asking 1750 for a 90/91 and i said no. it wasnt the price it was because i didnt wanted an automatic.

yea but you never know for sure if the engine was taken care of.... i bought mine wit 169xxx miles on it, ran perfect, no noises or anything... within 500 miles the motor was blown. snapped cam shaft.... no matter how good of an engine it is or wat you can never be for sure wit used cars....

especially since the higher mileage one is owned by an older couple (40's). that tells you they haven't tried racing it or doing any mods either. plus the a/c probably still works !
you have a beautiful blank canvas to start off with

plus you can find out more of the history of the car and get receipts for any major work done.
