ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    Allow myself to indroduce...myself.

Hello to all... joined a few days ago on the advice of another member. He hooked me up with some lowering springs and told me about the site. Pretty cool stuff.
I've worked for Honda/Acura dealers for almost 17 years in either parts or service, so I know a little bit about the product, just a little rusty since I've been out for 5+ years now...

I just scored a '91 Ex with 35,000 miles from a local that didn't want to put a trans in it when it started making noise. So I had Honda run the vin and found an update that had not been done concerning trans noise and as soon as I get the parts, I'll get it done and see if I can save the trans.

I'll post a pic or two as soon as I can get it detailed.... don't really know how exited anyone will get about a stock Accord.

Yeah buddy! 35,676 to be exact! Still smells new. Never been smoked in, all the yellow paint marks on all the nuts in the engine compartment are still there, no accidents...couple of small dings and scratches, but nothing major. All tools in the trunk and books in the glove box. They put in an after market radio, but still had the factory one in the garage, so they gave me that too. Had a damaged alloy wheel but I scored a full set for little cash, so that's taken care of. Got the back ordered parts coming from Mile High Honda, and will see if the trans can stay in the car. I need to replace the window tint and add a few choice accessories and start driving.

The update was for noisy transmissions in the '90 and some '91 Accords. I remember handing those kits out like crazy! The counter shaft nuts come loose and the trans whines in every gear but 4th. If you don't catch it in time it grenades... I'm hoping that the update will keep the trans alive a little longer. One thing about Hondas... the first year of a new model promises to bring many automatic transmission warranties.

I see, That's probably what happened to the previous owners of mine, since the current trans has junkyard yellow writing on it. since mine is 4/91
