ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    I'm pissed...

So today was my first day back to school... I ordered some used books off the net for my classes... I spent a little over 200 for four used books... Decent deal considering they are 100-150 new... Get to my math class today and sit down... Other people start coming in and getting everything ready and pull their books out... I'm looking around and wondering why my book doesn't look like ANYONE else's book... WTF... I got the wrong book... No big deal, right? Well... I call the place I ordered the books from and they can't take back used books... So I'm dicked on that... So... I'm fucking broke cuz I am helping my mom redo some siding on the house, my son is in a daycare thats running me 200 a week, I have a speeding ticket I have to have paid by next tuesday for 175 and I've got two people holding parts for me to buy... I had everything planned out and it was gonna all work a couple weeks ago... but now everything went to shit... I dunno... I'm just pissed... Sorry guys...

yea that sucks....you should try talking to some people that have already took the class and buy there used books instead of buying it from the campus place... thats what i use to do when i was in college... ive had some bad luck as well.... just finishing up on my H swap put moblie 1 in it and find out my oilpan has a small hole in it.... call the junkyard and no one wants to give up the oilpan... i dont want to jb weld it... so i had to fork out 225 for the obx 5.5qt pan.....

Please, Leave me some feeedback on my ride ^CLICK ^CLICK ^CLICK

What I would do go to a book store like half price or something and sell it back to them. You wont get much for it but you will get something back. If all else fails create an account on amazon and sell on there. I have at least 10 books I need to get rid of and 2 of them still in the wrapper =O. But I would borrow a book until you can get it. Another thing is usually the library carries the school text if it gets up to date often. Ive seen people do that instead of buying the actual book which isnt a bad idea at all.

lol... ya... sounds like we've got about the same luck man... sucks huh? haha... I was talking to a chick in the math class and she said she would loan me the book for a couple days and let me photocopy the assignments... That would save me 150 dollars... But my other three classes this semester are online... So I'm prolly going to have to buy those books... They are about 400 for all those... I wish I could just drop the classes so I could afford the coilovers I want... But that wouldn't be very responsible... lol...

I'll def check the library... I didn't even think about that... that's a really good idea... I've already checked Amazon and can't find the books I need... But I really appreciate the ideas

I know where you are on this one...I ordered the wrong book off of ebay or something my very first quarter at school as a freshman and I'll never do it again haha
The advice I was going to give you seems pretty popular already - check out the reserves at your library at school, the books are usually there
Another thing that I try not to do until later is see if you will even be using the book before you just go buy every book they recommend for the quarter because I can't tell you how many books I've bought before the quarter began and never even needed it or opened it once..waste of money!
