ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

or just come to AZ, they never pop your hood. My first ticket, well that I got pulled over for, was actually pretty bad, I got caught drag racing a guy I worked w/. 85 in a 45...when i was 17. They reduced it to exhibition of speed, but still had to pay like 473.00 this was back in June 2004....haha the night before I had to take the SAT's lol

I haven't gotten a speeding ticket in a long time. Got an expired inspection ticket a little over a year ago though. $139.

I was driving my '84 Firebird (305, 5spd) back in 2001 one night around 1:00 AM with a couple friends in the car... we were cruising at about 70 and my friend tells me to step on it... I pegged the speedo (85), got up to about 2800 RPM which was about 90 MPH... and then backed off cause I got a bad feeling I might get caught... well a mile down the road this car pulls up behind me and throws on the red and blues. He walks up and asks me for my license and registration and if I know why he's pulling me over. I was polite and said no sir I don't know. He says I clocked you at 69 back there (thinking to myself oh thank god)... then he takes my license back to his car and runs it through the computer. He comes back and hands it to me and tells me to take it easy and to have a good evening and he gets back into his car and drives away.

To this day, after 11 years of driving, I've never gotten a speeding ticket.

Knocking on wood would be a VERY good idea. Got pulled over today, i was doing 95 in a 55. He was asking these random questions like, 'where you going? Why are you going so fast? Why does your engine idle high?' and i was being polite back. He let me off with a warning and told me that 95 was unsafe and that 75 would be acceptable.

              I was like, WTF?!?

But i didn't say anything but, "Yes officer, i won't go 95 again."

Then he walked away. I then said, "Thank you GOD" and started to drive again.

Haha lol I know... to my credit though, I usually only do 5-10 over... and any outbursts of unprecedented speed occur after carefully checking all around me... I've only done a little over 100 on a couple occasions on any given highway and not for more than about half a mile. I like to keep my real "speeding" at the drag strip... though the fastest car I've taken only trapped 90 MPH.

Better not do that in the great state of Maine. They have all kinds of crazy undercover vehicles. Suburbans, Rangers, Explorers - everyday cars and trucks you wouldn't bat an eyelash at and all of a sudden you've got blues in your rearview. I've seen a Pontiac Grand Prix being used as a Massachusetts State Police vehicle too.
