ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Will this be the new Honda NSX

or a new model next to the new nsx?

To debut for ‘08 in Japan as part of the Acura brand launch in Japan.
    4.5L V10 with 550hp.
Front engined, SH-AWD on new platform.
Styling more in line with British GTs than Ferraris. It’s front-engined afterall.
Priced similarly to outgoing NSX, undercutting future Lexus supercar.
The photos show the car looking more conventional and less like the mid-engined HSC concept of 2003. I wish they have stuck with a mid-engine design. But I guess they may have decided to go with front engine configuration for better packaging of the SH-AWD mechanism, and I guess front-engine cars can potentially be made to handle just as well and in a more user friendly manner, even though they are less pure.

              1) This information is WAAAAAY outdated.

              2) The size of the engine and the number of cylinders have NOTHING to do with each other.

It is a V10. Why? Because it has 10 cylinders arranged in a "V" configuration.

It could be 1.0 liters, or it could be 100 liters, and it would still be a V10.

This engine will displace somewhere between 5.0 and 5.5 liters most likely.

Expect something 550ish horsepower or above.

              3) If you measure that to the wheels you would expect to seem somewhere around 450WHP not 250.

              4) Depending on how Honda sets it up, it could be faster than a very significant number of cars, just as the original NSX was.

look at Honda's current F1 engine...2.4 litre V8. the K24 is also 2.4 litres, but only has 4 cylinders. My girlfriends Spec V is a 2.5 litre i4....there is zero correlation there.

As for the NSX, i really hope Honda sticks to there roots with it, and makes it as beautiful as the old NSX.

                  cudnt have said it better

in its heyday, the NSX ate Ferrari's for breakfast, lunch and dinner.. and with everyday usability, Civic - levels of drivability and top notch Honda quality..

The NSX-R is highly regarded as one of the best modern sports cars ever..

Y can't they just make this car with the rear biased engine rather than this F engine layout...it looks nicer and is an obvious evolution of the original

The HSC concept was received to a lukewarm audience.

Of course, the majority of those feelings (mine included) were based on 2 things.

                          1) It has something like a 330HP V6. For the price this thing is going to have to sell for, that is no longer sufficient. It would most certainly be heavier than the original NSX, which was a high 12 car stock at best.

With Corvettes, Ferraris, Porsches, and the upcoming Japanese supercars (Supra, R35 Skyline), that wasn't going to be enough power to cut it.

With modern technology, there shouldn't be an issue building a well balanced 500HP car.

                          2) The front 2/3 of the car were super. The rear end was horrible. It wasn't so much that it was ugly, as much as it just didn't fit with the rest of the car.

I think if they would have just tweaked it up a bit, and made it more aggressive, it would have been a winner.

Put the V10 in slightly restyled body, and Voila, an NSX successor, that was true to the original concept, still had the sound, look, and go of an exotic, still was as well balanced as ever, and had the raw performance required at that price point.

Also, with the power levels getting the way they are, SH-AWD will probably be a huge asset in making the car balanced, as long as they can keep it light.

It isn't so light right now, but it is also 1st generation technology at this point.

You can ballyhoo RWD all you want, the fact is that with those kind of power levels, most cars quickly meet their match. The Z06 gets downright scary if you turn the TCS off.

And with SH-AWD, if they get it setup correctly, would feel just like RWD with more ultimate grip.

yup lol they would have had to get rid ofthe very small trunkj which no one would miss lol in order to fit that v10 in there lol
