Alrighty so I guess I can finally take the time to do an introduction thread... I have no comma so bare with me and the periods..lol
I purchased a 1992 4dr with a JDM H22A and Automatic LSD from a member on this and the local boards "HardmoneyHonda". The car was in pretty rough shape for whatever reason...You'll see in the pictures... Just about everything wrong with the car has now been fixed by my boyfriend at his shop.. So maybe soon we can spend some time and money on things that don't just need to be fixed but for upgrades..
I picked the car up for 2100 with 190k on the chassis and 55k on the motor in January of 07... Heres a list of things done to it since the purchase... Nothing spectacular... hehe
Stuff that had to be purchased:
4-2-1 Stainless Header -$150
2.5" Catless into Apexi N1 "style" canister -$200
Gabriel Shocks all 4 corners -$200
Adjustable Coil Springs -$50
A/C Discharge Line and 134a Retro Kit -$80
H22 P/S High Pressure Line -$15
H22 P/S Pump $50 core -$85
H22 P/S Bolts/Nuts -$35
ES Swaybar Bushing's -$20
ES Frotn Master Kit -$100
Stuff I really didn't need but got anyway:
Black Dash w/out Glovebox -$30
5spd Gauge Cluster (broke needles on stocks taking off the whitefaces) -$35
WindowShades....Ventshades...whathaveyou.. -$10
So all in all I think I have managed to get a decent car for about 3200 bucks which isn't bad at all.. Now onto some pictures...
The night we purchased the car.. Shocks were completely shot and the springs each a different size and tension (no joke).
Let's just say there is a line you just don't cross when it comes to "more low".
Let me also add that once you've read about the 4-2 and 2-1 issue below... This section was held up in by the o2 wires!
The car was being driven around with the 4-2 and 2-1 sections not bolted together... Obviously long enough to create a nice coat of carbon buildup.
The car as it sits today... Looking fairly decent on the outside (not much improved) but riding and driving like a brand new car... For being cheap springs im impressed other than having to slow down for shitty roads around here..
A new engine shot.. He had painted the valve cover Purple which worked out for me perfectly as its my favorite color.. I thought the sticker was a nice touch...
I don't have many pictures due to most the things we've been doing are just fixing mechanics of the car and making it somewhat pleasant to drive... Once the Master Bushing kit arrives it should imrpove even more... Anyway...thanks for reading...Maybe I can make it to 30 posts eventually..
