Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

    The story of my car:

8/19/2006 - Totalled my 85 Rx7 when a lady failed to yield to a stop light, and I t-boned her in her 95 Monte Carlo.

8/20/2006 - Spend all day car shopping, until I find a 91 Accord Coupe Lx, with 116k miles, mint condition, automatic, full inspection and tune up before sale, it ended up being a trade in at the Cadillac of Bellevue, WA. Bought for $3708 cash, $4078 after title and tax. Car originated from New York, one apparent owner, good service records according to carfax.

3/19/2007 - The roads are wet from fresh rain. Some other dude and I end up leaving the Safeway about the same time, heading the same direction, I was in the right lane, he in the left, I ended up in his blindspot, and he tried to merge into me, I slammed on my brakes, skid before the driverside front corner of my car colliding with the passenger side rear quarterpanel on his 95 Altima.

3/30/2007 - Dudes insurance claims my car a total loss and pays me $3200, and I get to keep my vehicle as salvage.

3/31/2007 - Someone uses a slim jim to enter my car, steals the aftermarket $109 alpine cd-player that came with the car when I bought it. They also steal my cheap emergency roadside kit, that had 3/4's of my $40 companion tool set. Thankfully they didn't get my 10, 12, 14mm sockets & wrenchs that were inside.

4/5/2007 - Car toys installs Audiovox Prestige Alarm System

    4/6/2007 - Purchase JVC Dv5300 DVD/MP3 Deck
from Fry's Electronics and install it myself later that night.

4/7/2007 - Order a oem style hood, fender, bumper all black primed, and a new set of black housing projector headlights off ebay. Less then $550 w/shipping for all.

4/8/2007 - I take my Infinity 6 1/2" Reference Speakers out of my Rx7 and install them in the rear deck of my Accord. Bought 2001 $99

4/9/2007 - Purchased Infinity 6 1/2" Reference Shallow Mount Speakers from Car Toys. I install them later in the doors.

4/22/2007 - All the parts have finally arrived.

4/27/2007 - Car goes into the shop to fix accident damage, & have new bumper, fender, lights, & hood installed, and paint matched. Mileage 128k

Here are the pictures I took of my car and the damage from the accident before it went into the shop, and of the headlights. As soon as its out of the shop I'll post more pictures.

    The headlights:

      Shop Pictures

Went by the shop today, to drop off a windshield washer resivoir w/pump, and the drive side bumper light. $30 for both off craigslist. (Anyone know what the stuff is called to use to clean/clear up weathered plastic lenses?)

      Onto the pictures

since you wrecked your front end i would have made it an excuse to get a 92-93 front bumper and converted it to 92-93 front and rear bumpers...

You got it right on the money. A headlight, & corner are $197 before tax new from honda, and thats just for one side. So yes i decided to replace the stock ones, with something that would help my car stand out against all the other cb7's i see driving around here.

I never considered/thought of it. I could have also bought a bodykit, and had it put on, but I wanted to keep the shop labor hours low, since there was a good amount of damage done to the front pillar, damage to the rail, and few other things, thats where most of the shop hours are going. In all reality I wanted to restore the car to its former glory. All the cars I've ever owned have been 15+ years old when I got them, and this is by far the nicest of all of them.

                Out of the shop

Yay, my car finally is out of the shop, only took a week! Paid $1450 cash.

I took two pictures of my car with my Moto Rizr Z3 before it got dark. I'll be taking pictures with an Olympus Stylus 600 tomorrow when the sun is out.

why didnt u do the repair by yourself? i mean you have all the tool, and all the part for it. and you can have some money to put in your pocket too.

                  it has eyes!!!

Why didn't i do the repair myself? I didn't want to deal with the headache of fitting issues (that primary support structure was damaged pretty good), aligning the gaps etc. I don't have a garage, or a huge driveway, all i have is a dirt alleyway, and a sloped parking space. Plus i've never spent a single day in auto shop. One day i will have a garage, with everything you possibly could need to fix your car, w/ a spray booth.

Got them off ebay, type "90 accord black projector" in ebay's search, and it will give you the price, and where to buy them. Mine were I believe $160 shipped. The headlights are a symbol of the accident the car was in. Lighting output is equivalent or better to stock lighting. Good analogy would be to think of a classic mag light. You can focus the beam so its strong and narrow, with a lite bleed off of light (projectors), or a wide beam where the center isn't any brighter then the edge (stock). Lighting output can seem sucky compared to other newer lights found on other cars, but thats to be expected, these lights are definately brighter then those that were found on my 85rx7. In the end I am very happy with my headlights, although I would love to convert them to hid.

Edit: They look like eyelids at night.

New Rims Before & After w & w/o Center Caps

First things first, heres what my car looked like with the 14" steelies and hubcaps that most of us are familiar with:

Found these on craigslist for $100, and spent $352 for new tires on these bad boys.

                            Enkei Stamped

Manufactured for Honda Motor Co. LTD

Without Center Caps (As it sits now until I get new lug nuts, or grind/shave the old ones):

                            16 Spokes!

                            With Center Caps:

After a little bit of research, the rims originate from an 86-88 Acura Legend, and to get a new replacement for these would be $165-260 a piece! (Depending on source)

Let me know what you think! Does it look better with or without the caps?

I like your ideas for future plans on this car. However, doing a auto-5spd swap is to your benefit and getting an H23 5spd swap in there is better than a F22 tranny.
