Hey all. My name is Burt, and I myself have 3 hondas, my brother has 1, and my mom has one. So, between all of us we has 3 preludes and 2 accords, 2 autos and 3 5speeds, an N/A car, a Turbo car, a rare car, a canadian car, 2 black cars, 2 silver cars, and a red one, 3 cars powered by the lovely F2xA1 motor, and, well, I could go on for a long time.
The honda thing in my house started when I bought my 1992 prelude at age 16. It's an auto S (not for long). Almost 2 years later my mom bought a 2002 accord EX-L 5 speed, with 21,000 miles on it. 3 months later my brother bought a 1991 prelude 2.1Si 5 speed. It only had 69k original miles on it when he bought it. Then, last november I bought a parts car, a 1992 prelude Si 4ws Canadian Spec. In February I got a call about a CB7 accord for $300+ a radiator. I'd worked on it before, so I knew it only had 114k miles on it and was in great shape other than rust, too bad it's a DX model.
Enough on background.
In the next 6 months, my black 92 prelude (f22a1 power!) will get a wicked little hybrid motor... about 12:1 compression f2x bottom end (either f23 and K24 TSX pistons, or f22 and bisimoto spec pistons) and H23 head with Crower Cams... a 5 speed conversion, 5 lug conversion, paint job (maybe), 2006 Civic Si rims, and some other stuff. I've already got an eBay header and intake, Apexi WS2 cat back, Eibach ProKit and Koni Yellows, as well as a decent stereo and JDM 1 peice headlights and foglights. This was my daily driver, now it's the fun car.
In the next 6 weeks, the 91 prelude will get a turbo thrown on the stock B21A1. At 6 PSI it should run about 220whp and 260wtq. Good for a 13 second quarter It's got the same stereo as my prelude, rocks 17" rims in the warm months, and sits on H&R race springs/tokico shocks. It's got an integra intake, Chikara header, and a custom test pipe and cat back.
The red prelude is my parts car. PM me if you want parts from it... h23 power
The CB7 is a 90 accord DX sedan with 115k miles on it. It's an auto for my daily driver. Beater isn't the correct term as I can't leave things well enough alone... I've got a vigor rear sway bar, new shocks and an ProKit waiting for it. It rocks a 98 accord head unit with 6x9 rear speakers from an EX.
Our 2002 accord is the standard silver honda, it has leather will all the goodies, but a 5 speed . My mom refused to drive it when I bought it home until I told her 3 magic words: "VTEC Five Speed". She grinned and has loved it ever since. Too bad it spent 6 months in the body shop last summer after a wreck that should have killed it. That wreck screwed the front motor mount, so we're looking to drop an H22 in it Can you say sleeper? It isn't pictured because it's on a road trip. It's all stock though.
On with the pics I suppose.
EDIT: I forgot, the preludes are being prepped for National Prelude Meet in NE Ohio, June 20-somthing. You all are plenty welcome to attend... track day, drag/dyno day, a show, banquet/awards, and a trip to Honda's race track. PM me for more details on that.
