ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    Finally got a CB7. 92 LX

I've wanted a CB7 since they were new cars and I finally got one about 2 weeks ago. She has 279k on the engine and runs like a champ. I actually saved it from the scrap heap. The previous owner was going to sell it to a junkyard the next day so I offered $100 more than what he was getting from the junkyard. I've lurked on here since I bought it and have gotten quite a few great ideas for it so I decided to go ahead and make an account.

In the last 2 weeks I've installed:
a new head unit (JVC KD-X250DT), the OEM unit was still in place
    Front lip from 93 EX
    Replaced the condenser
    Charged AC
    Replaced both drive axels
    New brake pads
    Changed oil
    Changed transmission fluid
Got the inop brake lights working
    Repaired cruise control
Replaced both rear window regulators and motors

    Still to do in time:
Possible engine rebuild (leaking small amount of oil, not too interested in a swap)
Transmission rebuild or swap (occasional 2nd gear grinding)
    Paint job
    Window tint
    Ball joints
    Wheels
    Slight lower
    And on and on lol

Haha right? I had to change that out first. There's one small rust spot over the rear wheel on the passenger side, about the size of a quarter. But that's it. No dents or anything else

OEM radio is best. I'm actually purchasing an OEM radio for my cb. OEM will always look better than any aftermarket unit anyway. And people are always like "you can't plug up your iPod blah blah blah" just buy the tape deck thingy. Did that for my ZJ and my Jbody I bought and fm transmitter.

Couldn't do it man, the OEM unit is pretty much shot. Hardly any volume at all. I still have it, maybe I can figure out the problem.
