ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

New to the CB7 world 1991 LX

hey everyone! I'm new here, figured I'd share what i got and get some comments. My first car, she's a 91 LX 5 speed. the previous owner didn't take care of the poor girl so i take it into my hands to make her shine like she did 20 years ago.

EDIT: In the end I hope to achieve a fixed up body, Midnight Blue color, maybe dark copper rims basically a clean, non-rice look.
Looking into good engine/tranny swaps in the future as well, anybody with good suggestions let me know

Planning to get rid of quarter panel shims, anybody think it would be good to weld the shims underneath and bondo, touch up and sand the top?

Haven't done too much yet, just the basics. Spectre air filter, short ram air intake, new spark plugs (iridiums) ngk wires, distributor, rotor, oil change, bosch distance plus oil filter, brand new high amp load boss alternator 170 AMP. One little thing you may or may not notice is the oil cap, found it in a prelude and realized i wanted to go for a blue theme.

In terms of sound, boss aftermarket head unit, 6.5" boss fronts, 6.5" polk rears, 400w mosfet baja amplifier pushing a single infinity 1052w in thin enclosure.

Post up a closer pic of the quarter panel so we can see what you're working with.

Oh and for the front don't throw any bondo on there at first, try pulling off the fender and using a rubber mallet to get most of that out. Always remember that bondo should be the absolute last step. It's for the minor final details, not the whole dent. If it was me I'd rather grab a junkyard fender than throw on a whole bunch of bondo.

I was planning on either an intact fender from junkyard or new certafit part.
Will post closeup of quarter panels soon

Yea in the end it will be by far the easiest. Just a few bolts and your done, compared to possibly hours of work.

Usually due to the design, the 90-93 accords really rust from the inside out per say, since the water holds in the moisture in the quarters like a sponge. To truly get rid of the rust you should replace the quarters..a good way to see what shape their in is go through the trunk, take out the carpets and remove the things in the way to see to the wheel well and you'll see what you got.

A thought, since you like midnight blue I would also check out nighthawk blue pearl. I haven't searched to see if anyone has it here but I haven't seen it.

Is that a stock Accord shifter knob? I have an m2s4 tranny and just assumed my shifter knob was the stock accord knob, but mine is a rounded square, basically. I do, however, have a 93 EX, maybe they changed them from 91

Oh, nice accord . I'd definitely like to see how it turns out in the future

No his knob is a stock Civic knob I believe. I have the same one, grabbed it at a junkyard.

Yeah like JMEngland88ta said it's from a Civic, buddy of mine grabbed a few while i was helping him with him Maxima. They feel a little better than stock Accord shifters and give a better grip IMO.
