Hey guys, my name is Alex and I live in Australia.
My honda background is EG civics, having played around with them for some time. My current EG project is a personally imported Carnival Yellow chassis from Japan that i have been building for around 3 years now. It has got to the point where I dont drive it on the street too much anymore, and is more or less only driven to and from the track (when it works!).
Anyway, I was looking for a daily. Im a bit of a sucker for imported chassies, so I picked up this CB1 Ascot off a friend a little while back. Its another personally imported car, similar to the local CB accords but with different front and rear ends, glass, interior, motor etc etc.
It has all the japanese nick nacks you are likely to find, power folding mirrors, climate control, visors, air refiner, bronze glass etc. But comes with the typically underpowered motor to lower registration costs in japan, a 1.8 carby. Its slow as fuck. Barinas chop me in this thing, at least i'll never get a speeding ticket
I had some wheels lying around that I used to use on my civic and this was the same stud pattern so I chucked them on. Grabbed some coils and some toe arms to correct the rear alignment when lowered and we were in business.
So this car is done, something comfy to cruse around in that people have no idea what it is
Thanks for reading guys, Im pretty new to CBs so theres a fair bit of stuff that is new to me on these boards. Cool cars
