ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    vg30dett in a 240sx

Hey guys I know this isn't a Honda but I thought I would share it. I have been working on this for a while. it's a97 240sx with a 91 vg30dett swap. it has a z32 diff and z32 30mm aluminum brakes. it's mounted and wired up but still has some work left to go. oil pan needs welded before first start. As far as we know we are the only ones to do this swap in a s14 and keep the stock twin turbo setup.

Does MO do any kind of inspections? In TX it's illegal to put an engine that is older into a newer chassis.

Pretty badass though. Is it a purpose built drifter?

I think It illegal in every state. Missouri is very lax on inspections. I think stl is a little stricter. Here in Springfield it's a joke, I meet a guy at a McDonald's parking lot to get all mine. no sniffer for us.

Sure Mo does inspections. Tires, brakes, ball joints, cat, windshield & lights. The average mechanic here wouldn’t know what he has looking at even if he did pop the hood. Even if you took a 2008 S2000 and put a 1950s small block in it no one would say anything even if they did know. Most simply don’t know and the ones that do don’t care.

That’s going to be awesome when you get it done! Right here in Springfield. I have to see this thing when it’s done.

So right. Can you say boost and LOTS of torque?

My roommate had a RHD Fairlady TT. Yeah. That was fun.

Thanks for all the positive comments. the owner of the car is Matt Fowler. (fiznowler). There is a lot of reasons we used a vg30dett. Back in the late 80's Nissan built a s-chassis with a vg30e for 2 years. It was called a 200sx SEV6 (87-88). This car was special to America only. This car we built was some what of a attempt to recreate Nissan's old idea. We wanted to create a monster of a car with all American issued oem parts. So far we have only used oem parts besides the mounts on the subframe. The drive shaft will also be a custom one piece. We are hoping to make over 300whp on 10 psi, stock engine, stock tune, full exhaust from turbo back, fmic w/ nitrous spray bar, oil cooler kit and a vlsd to help with some grip. photo shoot absolutely. I have a 85 200sx. both cars should be done about the same time and we want to get some pics when they are done. My s12 has his old ka24 swap.

Here is a few update pics of us rerouting the wire harness. We had to extend some wires, add a 10 amp fuse, and 2 relays. Thankfully the relay block had 2 empty slots. The oil pan is going to a shop to be welded up and having return bungs welded in so a first start should be soon. I have some wiring left to do still. I haven't done any testing on it yet. Everything is plug and play no hard wiring. looks like a mess now but when it's all back in a loom it should clean up well.
