Roof racks on cb's

I am thinking that I want a rack for my sedan, but its been tough finding pictures of cars with them so I thought an all roof rack thread would be a good way to show off your racks. Post pictures and a brief description of your setup.

I just want you to know that I love your car! It's my favourite so far that I've seen here. Really clean. I was thinking about the roof rack today and might want to get one myself. We live out in a nice area for biking and would be a good way for me to get in shape :P How much approx. do they run new/used?

Used they're around $200-250 but it's a crap shoot as to whether or not the ones you'll find for good deals will have appropriate towers.

If you're actually going to use it, power to you. If you're just going to get one because it's trendy, spend your money elsewhere because you're on the late end of the trend as it is.

New racks are, IMO, ridiculously expensive. $300+ for a basic system. I got the Saris rack for $75 used and the thule for $100, used, with the bike tray.

$300+ doesn't sound too bad if I actually take advantage of it. It might end up being a purchase I make down the road, after I get a few other items first.

$300 will get you towers, load bars and maybe a fairing. Add on another $200 for locks, 1 attachment and fit-kits for the attachment. I went into a local roof rack shop and priced out a comparable system to my thule and it came out to about $450 before tax. The fairing alone was over $100!

Now that I think about it, I have a Thule cargo system for the car with two bike mounts. Haha, wonder why I never put them on. Almost a year now.

lol, i would never pay that kind of money for a part like that, nor have i. I priced it out for shits'n'giggles. Im quite frugal, hence my passion for craigslist.

I found a Thule rack for $60 used. It didn't come with locks, and new locks would have cost more than I paid for the rack, so I just never bothered.

If you're annoyed by the whistling sound, but you don't feel like paying $100 for a piece of plastic: take a rope and wrap it around the front bar in a spiral. I have no idea why it works - something about breaking up the airflow.
