ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Nah no reason I just like the feel of it being gutted and I am sure its geting better fuel milage. It feels like a go cart now compared to a stock accord and it's pretty much stock except for the weight reduction there is a bunch of weight reduction that you don't see. And for the rx7 I'm not sure what I am going to do with it if gas gets any higher I won't be able to drive it it gets about 10-15 mpg. I would like to do a turbo swap but converting it back to FI and then turbo sounds like a pain, right now it's fast enough for me it's just as gutted as the accord. A ls1 would be nice though in a 2200lb rx7.

Get a h23 intake manifold and slap it on, and double stack the iab plate, or get a f22a6 engine, and remove the intake manifold and slap it on ur engine, double stack that, and ull def gain tq. More so with the h series intake.

Idk if u new this or not. The h22 and h23 have the same plenum, diff runner.

I don't know what I should do next about some extra power. I don't know how far I can take it without a tune. Right now its a F22a from japan (I think it comes with the a6 cam) with an a6 IM, a DC header and 2.5" exhaust with just a magnaflow cat. I guess I need to see what my a/f ratio is first and then go from there. Also I have no idea what kind of timing I am running I just did a 5speed swap with a exedy flywheel and it has no marks and I cant find any on the crank pulley. So I guess I need to get that sorted first before I burn it up running it to lean and to much timing. If any one has any suggestions I would appreciate it.

The CB looks freakin awesome from the outside, but there's no way I could live with the gutted interior like that.

The FC is sweet, looks like my old T2.

An LSX in a FC or FD is fast in a straight line. But it sucks ass in the corners. My friends dad had an FC with an LS1. The TII rear end didnt hold up long.

I havent got to drive mine in about 6 months. Its at Rotary Doctors in Neosho Mo Awaiting 3mm apex seals, Half-Bridgey and a new tires. Before when it was blew up, when someone was riding my ass, i would rev it to redline (beeep) then put it back in 5th. In about 2 or 3 seconds they wouldnt be able to see. When it would quit smoking and i could see behind me they would be about 10 car lengths back. Shortly after it would do that long annoying beep sound saying its low on oil.

I used to get the oil starvation on hard cornering. Go around a tight bend fast and beeeeeeeeeeeeep.

Gotta love the way rotaries go through oil. Damn thing is practically a 2 stroke motor.

As a motor, I think they are absolutely fantastic for race applications, but shit for the street. Rotary will always hold a special spot in my heart. I used to work at a rotary shop back in Ontario in the early '00's.

If someone has never drove one, most people will get in and kill it right off the bat. You have to rev it kinda high then slip it a while before your all the way off the clutch. Its not very easy to drive on the street and in traffic for that reason IMO. It just dosent have any torque (at all) down low. I like the backfire and flames between shifts!

Idk what kinda numbers i was puting out before but i wasnt ever beat by a teg or civic around here. With my half bridge i should be alot faster. And have that brap brap brap sound. Not to mention itll be built for abuse this time.

Well, update on the cb7. Gave me 4 great reliable years since the last post, but with the recent flooding down here in louisiana, water got in the clutch and rusted it up. If anyone has any good tips to free clutch back up I would appreciate it. Thanks
