ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.
2 of 2 < >

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    When I first got her

And after I've had her for awhile

Sorry about the crappy quality pics they were off of my phone. So i have alot of work to do with this cb. mainly body work, the "cancer" has taken its toll on the rear quarters. I'm waiting till I can afford a loan to take it to a body shop. So far the cheapest quote i got was $3,500 I really can't believe how much it costs for body work, but to me it doesnt make a difference, i see how when i get this car finished it will look better and make me just as happy as any new car would. So the money doesnt make an impact on me. I'm truly in love with the cb7! Thats why i have two i guess. This car is my devoted "project" car, the other is a daily driver.

Future plans are to go turbo, so as of right now any engine work is merely prep for when i get the money to go turbo i.e. timing belt, new gaskets etc. my goal date for that is some where within the year and a half mark from this date. I still have massive amounts of learning and saving before that can become a reality.

Let me know what you guys think!

those pics are from the ingalls web site. They came on the car when i bought it so i'm not familiar with the installation specifics on how to properly set camber. If you have questions regarding that here is the link located in the sticky under suspension.

thanks bro! I'm in the learning/saving $ stage for going turbo. really just looking at all options i have as far as turboing goes, as of right now its between a dsm custom install, or a treadstone kit. as of right now i'm thinking the treadstone kit as i dont see many future issues arising from the kit itself, and its a fair price. so really now i have to figure out what my fuel and tune options are, i.e. fuel pump, injectors, what ecu to get or chip, etc... I'm starting at fairly low boost prolly somewhere in the range of 6 psi on a tune, before replacing rods, rings, pistons witch will allow me to up the boost. i believe the bisi piston/rod combo 9.1 CR is about $800 so im going to have to save up for awhile after boosting to get it and feel out any other issues that need dealing with once boosted. final goal hopefully will be somewhere in the range of 20 psi. any input on boosting applications would be appreciated.

Just make sure your build will handle what you throw at it, you can always have not enough boost, but if there is too much, then you wasted your time, money, and build.. Do things right the first time and you'll be good. No corner cutting or anything. Sounds like you have a good start though

Right i'm planning on getting the install and tune done at http://onesixmotorsports.com/blog/ once i've decided what route i'm going as far as turbo kit, "prolly this one http://www.treadstoneperformance.com...and+F22B%2FH23 I'll be in contact with them as far as what we will decide to boost at and tune for at first.
