ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

Added something different to my headlights tell me what you think

i was going for a look like the newer civics have and some newer Volvo's with the black outlining of the headlights sample:

although i wasn't quite ready at opening my headlights i was lead to this as my alternative ( easily removeable )

I might do this with my corners so that it flows better ...and maybe witth my tails too no sure though yet

The black outlining you see on the Civic headlight is actually the housing of the headlight painted black. The headlight lens is still entirely clear.

Props on the creativity, but you'll likely get the look you're going for by simply blackhousing your headlights. Check out the DIY section.

I like it. I've seen people paint the eyelid portion before, but the vertical line is something I've never seen anyone do. Done cleanly like you did it, it looks pretty good. It's definitely going to chip over time, though. At least it probably won't be difficult to remove and redo when necessary.

yea i know it's the housing that's why i said i was still afraid to open up my headlights so for now i would go with this look

yes i know it will, but yes its not that hard to redo....also you have to center the line between the high/low beam perfectly if not it will be projected at night. I got the pass right but i'll have to redo the driver but it's not to bad...next it's the corners then the tails

        But Thanks Guys

I like that alot. It suits your car very well.

I actually did a similar thing on my old Mercury Mystique back in about 2004.

I like it minus the eye lid part. If that was thinner and it was the same width as the rest of the border it would look better

I think it would great on 1pc headlights. That way when you match the corner light, you're not doing 2 seperate lenses.

                        eww, looks ugly and tacky.

I would of taken it apart, and "trim" the headlight housing, where 1/2'' on the chrome housing is painted low gloss black. That would give it that "edge" appeal, and a very oem look.

Its not hard to open these headlights, heat them up like crazy and they pop right off.
What makes me laugh about forums, is that no matter how much you try to help someone, they dont take the advice. Go ahead and do it the hard way.

You got to respect what you drive, and appreciate what you have, making the best of what you got. and if that means putting CAI, HID's, a phat stereo system, and a idiot in the drivers seat...then so be it!

                        Retro!

                        Hater

I love nooBs...They make me look good

Matches well i kinda did the same thing an while back on my tails and agree doing this on an 1p would be way easyer it took an good 2 years before it started chipping at all....

I think it would great once you do it on the inside of the glass. Something totally different to break away from everyone blackhousing their lights.
