MY name is T and i just bought a cb7 with 219k on the dash and 5 speed. had her for about a month now and im starting to put in work.Bought it from a guy who used it to lug around his work equipment. This my first honda so i had to do a lot of reading up and testing. My last car was a 95 vw Passat and i loved it to death but i had to let her go.here are some pics
and my new baby
So far ive:
- changed the oil 4 times in the course of 2 weeks(beacause it smoked white in the morning during initial startup)
- changed the spark plugs, cap and rotor
- changed the valve cover gasket
- changed the trans fluid(this is when i discovered the hole and i patched it for the mean time)
- changed the upper and lower rad hoses, themostat , and 2 coolant flushes
- did a clutch fluid flush(was almost gelatin)
- did a brake fluid flush with alcohol and then added new super blue fluid( great stuff)
- replaced all door speakers, door panels, and 1 window motor
- replaced outside chrome door trim(was missing all of it)
- replaced tail lights( they were a different shade from each other)
- replaced all bulbs
- replaced all the tie rods
- replace waterpump and timing belt
- new battery cables and terminals
This looks like a lot of work already but i have done this to every car ive owned. My goal is to rolling nicely on a drop without me having to deal with alot of issues and minor details. i have my function and form type 2 coilovers ready but im trying to locate a set of ex stock rims before i drop first.
