ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

Anyone have XXR 501's on 2'' drop?

Looking to buy these wheels soon, however I fear that 2'' may be too little of a drop to make these wheels look perfect. I currently have Neuspeed Race springs (about 2'' all around) but every car that I have seen has a 3''+ drop. Anyone have any photos of this setup?

    PS. I'm going for a stance/look such as this -> http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthre...light=hatching

I love XXR wheels. It's my plan to pick up some XXR's and run Megan adjustable coilovers.

I never realized how popular the XXR wheels are on our Accords. Quite a few guys on here have them. Just means they have good taste.

Just run a 16" wheel and then you correct with the sidewall of the tire to fill the fender gap or provide plenty of travel without scrubbing, what ever you need to do. You can run like a 205/40/16 tire and it will be a nice low profile tire but if your running too much gap then move up to a 205/40 or maybe a 205/45....little differences in tire size will make a decent difference. It looks to me like HATCHing is running a 205/40 or 45 at most.

oh and dont look at my car for comparison.....im running a 15" wheel with a 45 series tire

I have a 205 60 on oem wheels, I think a 60 series will fill the gap for me with a 2in drop

Damn. This is interesting. I was thinking I was gonna have to go with a 18 inch to look good. I didn't realize 15\16 inch wheels looked so good on our cars. Lets keep this thread going. Id love to learn more.

15 to 18s look good. It all depends on the tire size and the suspension.

In my sig, I've got 18s with 215/35/18 tires and 2" drop springs.

you have to admit though, of people that buy XXR's, the majority do so because they can't or don't want to afford a more expensive wheel rather than doing it out of good taste. i said nothing about my personal taste, hell i have motegi's on my car that i bought for 150. i like cheap wheels too.

agreed. sometimes its hard to pass up a wheel set for $200 that'll look good. I bought my XXR 501's for $300 with eh tires. sold them and a bunch of shit with decent tires for over $400.

people want what looks good, on their budget. People that can't wait to find a deal, buy cheap shit. I haven't had a wheel fail on me yet. Ive run OEM honda, Rota, Motegi, XXR, and A.R.E. without any issues and im not easy on my cars or wheels. In all reality, MOST people that run cheap wheels, aren't gonna be making enough power to have one fail completely.
