ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

    tv4184: 1993 Accord LX

I've been lurking here since September 2008. I think that was when Hurricane Ike just hit Houston and I started thinking more seriously about getting a CB7. Well it only took two years. I kind of got this on impulse actually. Here are some pics.

Everything is stock for now. She'll be my daily driver replacing my Maxima. Hoping to stick to simple mods. I went too far with my Maxima making it hard to keep it as a DD so now its been upgraded to project car.

There is some surface rust in the trunk. I did not see any under the car when I was in there. Some surface rust on an engine mount I think. There was an accident on the driver rear (same as my max) but they did a good job not using bondo on the trunk area, the door is another story. Speaking of which, the window is cracked a hair and is stuck, I found a thread on this but haven't had time to look into it yet. The warning lights for the doors, trunk, and brake lights is constantly on or fading but they don't turn off while driving. There is some peeling paint on the front bumper but the paint is in pretty good shape. The worst thing though may be my third gear, there is some grinding when I get it into third if I don't do it carefully. Otherwise everything else seems to be okay... .... ....

    Future Fixes
    - replace missing a/c knob
    - replace broken driver door handle
    - fix / delete antenna mast
    - convert to r134a?

Heres also the rest of the cars in my fleet. All MTs ftw

          Welcome!

Nice looking CB7. Love the colour and the condition (though you say there are some repairs and rust and minor electrical problems) it is after all nearly 20 years old. You will find most of these are minor repairs.

Good choice in keeping this as your daily driver and near oem condition. These things are made of sterner stuff and will outlast most other cars (even if you just put in half the enthusiasm, effort, repair and maintenance you put into your maxima).

Couple of Question: What made u like the Maxima? Do you like your Maxima more than the Accord and why or why not?
          Rides:

          Accord
          92-JDM-2.0 Si- "4ws" - Cobalt Blue Pearl
          96-AUDM-2.2 VTiS- Heather Mist

          CR-X
          88-JDM-Si- Black

          CR-X Del Sol
92-JDM-SiR "Transtop" Motegi Edition - Silver
95-JDM-SiR "Transtop" Daytona Edition - Silver
          92-JDM-SiR "Transtop" - Black

          Prelude
91-JDM-Si-4ws "Si States" - Phoenix Red
91-AUDM-Si-4ws "Cita Lux Edition" - Bordeaux Red Pearl
91-AUDM-Si-4ws "Cita" - Cobalt Blue Pearl

Yeah nothing surprising to me since my Maxima is also a 93

I bought the Maxima off of my friend to learn how to drive stick. His dad sold it to me for $600 so it wasn't a bad deal. Unfortunately it sat for like 2 years without use so when I started driving it a few months later in July 2008 it started having electrical issues. I like the DOHC v6 it has, I just don't like the number of electrical sensors I have to deal with. Not to mention the size constraints of the engine bay. As for how much I like it, it's essentially considered to be a different car than the accord, I look at it with the sport suspension and v6 power but the max's body needs a new paint job and premium gas doesn't help (I still get 24ish mpg though). I like the accord for it's simplicity and I hear maneuverability is better than the max. The accord is also lower cost to maintain than the maxima (for one thing the max has 6 individual coil packs for it's ignition system). I also like the aftermarket support thats out there for the accord, the maxima community is great but parts are hard to come by unless you know how to fabricate them (most performance suspension components are not being produced anymore). However, for now I'll say I like both equally.

To answer your question in my other thread, I used to have an s2000 before I bought my 4runner.

No just 2wd. Yeah it was the last gen of 4runners that came with manual. Te current tacos come in manual 6 speed I think.

Yeah its been a while since I've updated this. I've been deliberating about replacing the CB7 and I just cannot do it because of how much value and potential it has. I couldn't justify the cost of replacing such a great running car with so little maintenance involved. Alas after 3-4 months I decided to start working on the car again. The suspension needs a refresh and I need new tires. I just happened to find these on craigslist so good time as any to pick them up and get some new shoes.

Got them for a steal except now I have to find a single one which I'm sure is pretty difficult. I'll put two on for now because theres been one tire I've been needing to replace. Then next up will be my UCAs. They've been needing replacement since day one, I just never got around to doing it. It's good to be back on the forum again. I've been spending too much time working on my second FD.
