ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

Ok this is my opinion and im open to correction.

First there is a confusion due to the wiring setup (due to the US design specifications).

What is called JDM corner lights are actually park lights in a JDM car (therefore clear). this is due to the side repeaters being separate and located in the fender. The fender side repeaters are always amber (honda didnt want to make clear side markers as the clear look is not yet universaly accepted and they have tons of stock of amber side repeaters to go around).

These JDM "park lights" equivalent in the USDM also incorporates the repeaters (therefore amber) as no fender repeaters where allowed (US specifications dictated repeaters to be near the extreme edge of the cars) hence the incorporated design in the cb7. This design mandate is also evident in other makes and models eg. 3rd 88-91 gen Prelude has a long rectangular amber repeater in the front and rear bumper and no side fender repeater again.

Maybe its changed (to allow for flexible deisgn cues of incorporating repeaters in side view mirrors and not limited to edges of the car) but thats what i have noticed.

Now with regards to the lights in the bumpers of the CB's both are signal lights in JDM and USDM. However in the Series1 CB's these were definitely amber. In the series2 CB's these can be amber or clear (as the clear design cues become more and more accepted). I know for a fact i have a series 2 bumper with clear bumper blinkers and another also series 2 bumper with amber blinkers.

Somehow, I know that should all make sense... but it confused the hell out of me.

The lights in question are the plastic lights located next to the glass headlight housings. In Japan, these are clear. They are only on coupes and wagons. On sedans, the headlights are a single piece, with this "corner light" integrated into the housing.

The OEM corner lights in Japan are not amber. If you find some amber corner lights that are for sale in Japan, they are JDM.

However, JDM means absolutely nothing. It's nothing special. It just means something was sold in Japan.
