after meeting up with a fellow CB7 member who i sold my CB7 to, Made me want to get back onto Cb7tuner.com

always loved cb7tuner,
anyways my Only honda car right now, and a camry with so meny mods lol XD.

Your right my bad, D15 i think?, and im not even sure about that, del sol engines im very bad on knowing well,


this is the Vtec version of the Del sol,
S - Lower trim
Si- Low vtec Version? (d15)
Vtec - b16a3

I know that for a fact its that vtec trim (vin# says), lol

94 Del Sol Si has a D16Z6. The S model had the D15 and the VTEC had the B16.

Well the b16 is a dohc motor, and the motor in that is not a dohc

I always had a thing for del sols, went to a few car shows, seen sol's there, fell in love. If I can get a project honda, it will b a sol with a f22 motor.

And to the op, the sohc f22a, their are 3.

F22a1-125 hp

F22a4-135

F22a6-140

And the thing is, all f22a series motor's usually have more tq than hp. Which makes our car's fun to drive.

I think its hard to stay in one car but its hard to have your cake and eat it too.

I suggest selling the camry and going for a CB7 and keep the Delsol. Its not really Del Slow..being Vtec. In any case i think speed is only an issue for when your young but when you mature (long term) you look more to than just speed, bragging rights or fitting in with your mates with fast cars. Thats when you appreciate the Delsol - CRX Delsol In Australia!

Delsols in the US have a stigma of being a Civic. For me its a good thing since 1) other manufacturers use common frames eg. VW Golf and Audi A3's and Ford Focus and Volvo. So sharing frames are common practice and in this case its still pure since the Civic is still a Honda.

2) It means cheaper parts and tons of mod potentials (without costs) at the same time as having a unique and top down car (not really a hard core sports car in any case).

I guess I can talk since i too have a DelSol. Not trying to brag but im perfectly happy with mine since its the coveted full jap top spec with options SiR with B16a engine (keeping it forever). I dont care that its not perfect by todays standards and for some not luxurious enough but it still give me the novelty feeling of topdown, pure two seater, roadster feel with the economy and reliability of a Honda! (Better than the other convertibles of the time which was underpowered - like the Mazda Miata - and other newer cars with more problems - eg Ford Capri, BMW with Vanos engines that have problems (Vtec has none) or Merc Convertibles that have roof servo and hydraulic problems etc. If i was to get another convertible I know the reliability issue and maintenance costs will far out weigh the benefit of driving a luxo car which to me is not really as unique as the Delsol (which to me has similar looks to a Porsche GT)

I say keep the DelSol, ditch the Camry and go back to the CB7. All due respect but CB7 > Camry any day. If you dont know why ask me.

My del sol engine got blew n didnt have money to fix it up.

I would love to sell the camry but idk lol, And i dont actually look at the del sol for speed,
i look at it for its looks,
most people in my area tell me its the best looking del sol they have seen, and the fastest,
most of the del sol at my college, there are 2, are just the S type with non vtec motors, and are stock, and stuff,

Im sorry but stock del sols are ugly really ugly.

Yes i know this, Del sol is called Civic del sol in America, But drop civic later in the year or something.


yeh me to do im not worried about it, You dont know how meny people look my del sol when i drive past or just when im leaving school, people always ask, For it being a 2 seater, n the way mine looks, I get looks alot,
But its good

I dont want to make my del sol a ricer type either,
Mines lowered to like 2 1/2 inch of ground, with rims, with stock exhuast,

i dont want a muffler on it,
It sounds great already, the intake is so loud. the engine screams with it on there.

anyways yeh its my main concern, Im gonna get the greatness out of it,
and yeh People even at honda like it, (i work there lol )
