ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

    Hello all, new here..~

Whats up guys, I'm new here and looking for a lot of info so I thought id join

    Heres my 90 Accord EX:

My plans for it so far:

Full coilovers, (most likely Tein basic dampers, unless somebody knows something cheaper )

XXr 501's cant decide which color I want tho, leaning towards red.

Some light weight reduction, mostly free mods

Some kind of brake upgrade, (like I said new to these cars) Help me out plz lol

And eventually an NA motor swap, most likely an h series all na motor.

    Thanks for looking guys!

clean CB man. and nice plans too.

for a brake upgrade, i would recommend the wagon rotor upgrade. 10.9(11in) up front. get the calipers, caliper brackets, and rotors. shouldnt cost you much tho. $55 for the rotors from auto zone. the calipers and brackets you can find up here in the classified section after you get 30 post or online in ebay

How does it fare against the turns? Im looking at running the dragon next summer (for those who dont know :311 turns in 11 miles) and it neds to be as reliable and safe, while out handling a bunch of mildly prepped mustangs

Very good condition the car....If i were you go to nearby autozone, lordco or go internet on criagslist, kijji etc..... to find ll sort of parts because millions of people are selling,EVEN GO TO JUNK YARD.. i found a ex-r total loss in a accident but the engine is intact...and was a h22 engine which he selling for 600....So yea just explore places and you'll find the right mods for your car...GOOD luck......

get a nice suspension and brake set up. you dont need to get big brake upgrade with 12" rotors that are drilled and slotted. the wagon rotors will do fine. get some new bushings and ball joints. if you look at your suspension, im sure none of it is new or close to it. lol. a rear sway bar along with a good spring/strut combo of full coilovers and strut bars with some sticky tires will get you around those turns.

but dont try to go running those turns at 50+. you dont have a car built for that. unless you tear down your entire suspension, dont count on trying to speed around the corners. lol.

and anyone please feel free to correct me if im wrong on any of my info and/or advice.

no worries. ask all the questions you need man. we're here to help

and those Tein Basics are nice. and at a good price too. but yeah. those would be some good coilovers to get. but if you looking at adjustable dampening, try to go with something like Function/Form Type Two's, Tein Super Street, D2's, or Ksports. all have adjustable dampening so you can turn the settings up to where you want for the corners, then when your just driving around town, dial it back down.
