ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

    MY 1991 CB7 PROGRESS THREAD

Just picked it up recently for $400. It's a '91 Honda Accord LX auto with 142k miles. The interior which wants to make me barf. Has pretty bad rust, 3 of the 4 doors don't shut, bald tires, and no a/c. It'll be a fun little project for me though. I'll get it running and looking just like new. Right now the car runs and drives like a champ. It's a great little car. Whatcha think?

Yes, the door panels and dash are now black, the rest will have to be dyed hopefully. Thanks for the comment!!!

I investigated what was wrong with the brakes... I found the problem. Looks like the drums have never been replaced and were grinding everywhere, and the pads were worn 90% down. Ran to the part store and got new pads and drums and replaced them on both sides. Now for the fronts...

Also got my Dad to help to get the fused drum off. Just getting that stupid thing off took like 30 minutes...

              Yep, those pads were worn

              Lookin' good

Went to the junkyard and picked up a buttoad of parts, unfortunately I didn't get seats, door panels, or carpet because of major mold problems. I did end up getting a dash and some random plastic peices though. Oh, and an OEM SPOILER!!! Here are some pics of the dash swap for now...

Ok, got alot done today. Painted all 4 door panels black. They look great. I also installed the OEM spoiler. Doesn't look too bad but the color is killing it for me. It will all be painted soon though... Timing belt and water pump coming this weekend hopefully.

UPDATE: Started body work on the Accord today. Cut and ground out all the rust on the driver's side. I won't be welding in new metal because I don't have the know how to do that so I will just be using sheet metal and screws and sealing the overlapping parts. I think it will work just as well as welding. Any way I do it, it will be perfect  Here's a pic of today's progress.

I'm also thinking about shaving the black side mouldings and filling the holes... What do you guys think about that? Or should I just leave them as is?
I also shaved the antenna today. it looks perfect.

I used DupliColor for the door panels. I was kind of skeptical about painting interior pieces but I was really surprised at the whole outcome. It looks stock... even though these cars didn't have black interiors.
