ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    Show me ur HIDS! please!!

hey guys. so im planning to buy HIDS for my 93 accord SE

Not sure if i should get 6000K or 8000K always seems like some 6000K's are too white or tooo blue. and some 8000Ks are well. tooooooooo too blue.

i would love it if you guys could show me some pictures of ur Car that has HIDS and tell me ur Color temp!!

    THANKS!!!

Sorry I don't have any pictures to provide, because I havn't purchased HID's yet, I have other maintenance items to take care of first...

In general... The lower the Kelvin temperature the better it is for foggy weather conditions.
3000K is a excellent temperature for fog lights.
4300K is regular halogen temperature, which is more into the red spectrum, and offers minimal glare in foggy conditions.
5000K will appear white, and might have a very very faint blue tint to it.
6000K will appear whitish, but will have a more pronounced blueish color in general compared to 5k.
    8000K will be blue
Any higher Kelvin temperatures and you are getting into purple and pink temperatures.

AND FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, AFTER YOU RETROFIT TO HID'S, RE-ADJUST THE AIM OF YOUR HEADLIGHTS!

          pictures of my 4300k.

id say stick with 4300k or 6000k...ive had just about every color and 4300k has been my favorite of all.

in the rain, 8k and up gets so faint you cant even see where you are going!

          i.e. pointless lol.

yes they do just have to get 9005 socket for the highs on stock headlights.

and H1 bulbs for JDM headlights.

they use they're own ballast also. so all HID's for high's and lows would be 4 separate ballast.

From experience, 5000K is much better. It still has a bluish hint, but has much more usable light than 6000K.
