Brakes rebuilt, reassembled & ready for swap

Well guys, just got done rebuilding those brake calipers. I put'em back together & mounted them on the old rotor just to take pics so remember this is not finished product.





I used a wire brush on my angle grinder to clean'em up after taking the piston out.




V.H.T high temp caliper paint & piston & new seal kit ready for reassembly.

Reinstalled with old rotors just to check'em out

installation update

What's up yall? haven't done an update n a while but i think most of us r goin thru some of the same financial hardships w/ the economy like it is. i got a chance to do the rear disc swap on my cb finally & it actually only cost me the price of the break pads & some break fluid. here's a a few pics of the project from start to semi finish.




this part was easier than i thought it would b.





rain never fails n fl. started pouring just as i was puttin the calipers on, so i had to put it on hold for a couple hrs.




got'em on & i'm just savin up to get some crossdrilled slotted rotters for the front & back to clean it up a bit. next on the agenda is a manual tensioner for the h22. that auto tensioner scares me.

^^^should b easy. these came off a 96 ex cd5 & bolted rite up as expected.

ive had mine for 5 months this winter i will paint everything before i put it on just got to get a heater for the garage first

You don't need slotted and cross drilled in the rear. Don't waste your money.

^^it's not a waste of money. it's up to u or him what he wants to do w/ his car. i like the cross drilled all around becuz it looks better. & to buy the discs & pads 2gether only cost me a lil over $200. here's a shot of the discs b4 i put'em on. cross drilled all aorund discs ftmfw
