ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

What I found & bought in a junkyard!

They finally were able to get the parts from the junkyard, and here is everything I picked up. R.I.P. (Rest in pieces) 92 auto ex @ 145k!

    Here is the Front Valance/Lip:

    Here is the oil cooler:

    Here is the cam:

Here is the a6 head and manifold (front view):

a6 throttlebody & upper intake manifold:

a6 head & intake (ps view)

a6 head & intake (ds view) Notice the air tank and iab sylenoid:

    Bottom of head, cylinders 4, 3, 2, 1:

Bottom of head, cylinders 2, 1:

Bottom of head, cylinders 4, 3:

    Here is the pt6 ecu:

Here is the tcu, which I won't be needing since I want to keep my "sport" mode:

Now I just need to aquire the throttle body and upper intake manifold from an h23a1. Found a junkyard that has it, just gotta pay for it, and pick it up.

By the time I am done with this project, I will have a complete a1 manifold & throttle body, upper half of an a6 manifold and throttle body minus the iab plate, and possibly the lower half of an h23 manifold. Heres to a G22.5 (f22/h23) intake!

nice so if you eliminate the butterfly deck you wont need to use the vacuum and all that ant it would install just like a a4 or a1 manifold but increase the hp/tq????

In Need of an engine, just a basic f22a...pm me if you have one willing to part with.

Your top end would increase due to the removal of the butterflys more air will flow, but your low end would suffer. The a1/a4 only has 4 ports from the plenum to the head, the a6 has 8, 4 open at all times, the other 4 open around 4k i believe.

      Pictures borrowed from Majestic Honda

      Heres the a1/a4 manifold:

That is why I plan on retaining the normal functioning of the iab system, but I plan on throwing on a h23 upper manifold & throttle body on the a6 lower manifold & iab plate. That will keep the low end, and also help the top end. My plan for the best of both worlds.

Yes, I have a 91 lx, and I'll be putting it on when I fix my oil pan gasket and will also be installing the a6 windage tray which I am currently waiting to arrive from majestic honda. The oil cooler is only found on a6 motors. So a 90/91 ex will not have the oil cooler, only the 90/91 se. 92 EX & 93 EX/SE have the oil cooler.
