ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

New wheels, what do you think?

Hey guys, new to this forum, just thought I'd show off my recent purchase.

    Before:

    Afters:

Any suggestions on lowering? Unless ebay coilovers really suck I would like to use those+ stock struts. (I know the struts will blow quicker, does anyone have experiences with ebay coilovers?)

          Thanks for the comments guys!

Would something like this do a good job lowering the car?

          http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/_Car-...3A1|240%3A1318

I know it would probably ride badly, but would those work for a while with stock struts?

Does it ride rough, or did it blow your struts? I could live with a rough ride as long as they look the same as a real brand.

I used to hate the color of my car, but after I tinted the windows it started to look a little better. I'll look in to skunk coilovers, but I know they are way over my budget.

it looks better but im not a fan of the rims ... get you a good strut/spring combo from tien, skunk2, or kyb ... dont skimp on your suspension it is one of the biggest purchases you can make for your ride ... i would also suggest changing upper control arms and low ball joints while your in there since the change in height is gonna effect those components even more with it lowered stance

45 series would be more appropriate. Just my opinion.

I made the mistake of getting coil overs, it was rough as hell and it caused my 16 year old struts to shit on me. When I got my 90 cb, I saved and got Skunk2 springs and struts, well worth the price. It's lowered, but, I can pull into parking lots, go over speed bumps and not worry about scraping my butthole.

What rims are those? TSW is a great wheel choice.
