ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.
2 of 2 < >

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

No point. So many great motors that bolt in. No need for wimpy torqueless civic/teg engines.

      B18A1

      130 bhp (97 kW) @ 6000 rpm & 121 ft·lbf (164 N·m) @ 5000 rpm
      140 bhp (100 kW) @ 6300 rpm & 126 ft·lbf (171 N·m) @ 5000 rpm

      F18A1

      118 bhp @ 6000 rpm, 14.6 kg m @ 4000 rpm (PGM-carb)

      F22A1

      125 hp (93 kW) @ 5200 rpm, 137 ft·lbf (186 N m) @ 4000 rpm

It will pull the Accord but not as good as a regular F22A in stock form as it would be a downfall, however since he plans on really beefing it up , the end results will be up to him.

Overall , I'd still go H22A and boost it or N/A build or just leave it stock. Let the small engine belong to small cars and the big engines to big cars.

Hey man, good luck with the build & swap! Do whatever you want to do, and don't let anyone tell you to do it their way.

These guys, from what I can tell, are trying to advise you that the H22A would be a far better motor, but you got that B18 for $30? That's a steal!

If it were me, I'd build that B18 up and sell it to someone with a Civic or Teggy for a nice profit - then, use the money you get to buy an H22A and build that up for the cb7

H22 swap is cake. It drops right in, you add three wires, get the proper ECU, boom, you're done.

B18 swap, you are going to need custom mounts, custom axles, cut out the floor pan to fit shifter rods (B series trannies use RODS not cables, like F and H series), different radiator, etc. All kinds of different shit. There is NO point to put it in a CB7. No body has done it yet because it's retarded to do so. ANY motor can be mean when boosted. Hell, the F series that comes stock does pretty damn well boosted, and it's cheap to build. Pistons/rods, and you can run 400hp all damn day, with a proper tune, fuel system (all you need are a better fuel pump and injectors), and a proper catch can/crank case ventilation system.

Instead of wasting money on putting B-series in a CB7, invest the money in building an F22A block and a turbo kit to put on it, you'll be making more power and torque, all for a lot less than you would with a B-series.

Also, what is so important about having "VTEC?" You'll have more than enough power with boost. VTEC is overrated.

There is your good advice. You would be wise to heed it.

what would be the point in that its a waste of time to build the b18...........its not that someone is trying to tell him what to do......but think about it............not saying that the b18 is a bad motor cause its not, im saying that its a waste of time an money cause it aint gonna move the boats we drive, people swap h22s in cb7s for a reason
