ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.
2 of 2 < >

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

My 90 Accord Coupe LX... 56K warning...

Ok, so I live in Ohio and do have some rust. My car smokes like a fried angel, and needs some body work. I have put 1K$ into the motor having work done and it still isnt right. I have had upper rebuild, clutch, and cv joint replaced.

I got the car for 500$, and put 1K$ into it. IS this thing worth it so far. I like the car. I want to fix it up. But was wondering what you guys thought. Should I sell and get somthing else?

Welcome to the site. Your coupe has potential, and this is the place to find it. Where are you in Ohio?

I live down by Rickenbacker. Starting to have a little tuner scene in my neighborhood. A couple of neons, a few civics, a few tiburons, a 240sx, a Z24, my coupe. And one of my neighbors said he thinks there's a largish pack running down here and drifting or something back in the warehouses somewhere. He's heard them running, I've heard them going by a couple times. Been trying to arrange some mini cb7 meets in the regionals forum(which you'll have access to eventually, lol), but it just hasn't worked out yet.

keep it man. my cb had alot more problems than yours. you may have put $1k into making sure its still running but im sure that $1k will be enough. just make sure you get the car running like its supposed to and not skip out on getting some part(no matter how mino) fixed to get a mod done.

fix any problems 1st. then start your modding. then you wont have any stock problems down the road

I bought it from a local guy. It was supposed to be in good running condition. When I got it, it was running on 3 of 4 cylinders, had no compression on one cylinder. And smoked. I had a head job done, still smokes bad, but runs a lot better.

My plans right now, are as follows.

Fix it up, meaning get it in good running condition. It still has motor issues, tranny issues, but it's a work in progress.

System, haven't decided on speakers yet, I kinda wanna do some custom components.

                      Then body work, and paint.

Interior, die my carpet, change my dash lights and such; Im assuming the lights in it are just green LED's. I hope to change them out with blue.

Drop it a lil, and rims to touch it off.

Thats sweet. Im not really into having a fast car just yet. I want something that looks nice, and has a killer system.

I have done car audio for 6 years, starting when I was 12 at a shop.

Im so tired of people thinking that the louder the bass the better, im gonna show people what I good system is supposed to sound like...

I totally agree. I've got a buddy that just goes SPL. He dropped a few thousand at a now closed shop, brought it around to brag, and they didn't even close up the bottom of his rear pods. Every time it hit, the pressure was so strong it puffed the cloth up on the speaker pods. I took him out to mine, then I made fun of the spaghetti mess they left too and the next day he was back at the shop bitching.
I need new rears, and new fronts wouldn't hurt, but before they started going, I could hit 126 with no distortion and seven distinct positions in the cabin. If I can't hear it all clearly, what's the point?
