ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

    Wiring help needed.

I have got everything but these few wires left to wire. I am wiring up the wire harness or plugs for my head unit. These are the wires that I have left, and I am not completely sure on how to hook them up.

These are on the Head unit side.

    Black- Chassis Ground
Dark Blue- AMP REM Maxo 3A
    Red- Unmarked
    Orange with white- Unmarked
    Yellow- Unmarked
    Light blue.- ATT

    Car side wires

    Red- 12volt ingnition/switched
    Orange- Illumination Dash light
    Black- Chassis Ground
    Yellow- 12 volt battey/ constint
    Orange with white- dimmer

Now I believe that the Red goes with Red, and Yellow w/ Yellow.
Do the two grounds Y together and screw into the Chassis or go seperate?
Also, what two orange wires go together? (the ones with white?)

Oh, yes. And I have an amp I can put in later. I believe the ATT wire switches the amp when it is wired to it. Also, what does the Amp REM MAXO 3A do?
The Amp I have is a Sony Xplod 500W 4/3 channel. It has front L and R, and Rear L and R. I had been using it to run 2 ten inch 500w max subs. Is this ok, so I just use it for my mids, and possibliy tweeters? Let me know what you guys think.

??? nothing yet? Oh well. I fiured out all the wires except how to run the two ground wires, and Orange and white dimmer wire. My headunit manual says their orange and white are illumination wire. It also says that the ATT is for a phone interface with you car, and the Amp wire goes to the Amp (obviously) for more power. But I dont know were it goes to the amp. I believe I will wire the wire that starts and stops the amp to the ingition wire.

Ok. I guess we are done here, no one posted, but thats ok. I learned how. Called the people who made the wire connector and the guy almost seemed annoyed by the question. Got it in now, the black grounds were " Y "ed together and attached it to the chassis.

Now for another problem. what do I do about the way these are in there? I think I will do a Rhino 3d model and CNC something out at school.

I noticed a little power draw form my car tonight. Not much at all, but I am wondering what it will be like after I put the amp and subs in. Not sure if I should even be using that amp for the subs. The two subwoffers are 500W max and the amp is a 4/3 channel 500w. I used it in my old car, but I am 98% sure its just for running reqular speakers. Should I get a different one for the subs? I think I should get a capacitor to assist the amp. An expensive alternator upgrade isn't really an option right now.

                    Get another amp for sure.

forget a cap, just get a new alternator brush set, and the big three upgrade
                    wat?

Glad you got everything figured out....car audio is pretty easy dude so consider it a learning experience

If you want to keep the 6x9's, crutchfield sells some adapter rings to allow you to go from 6.5" hole to a 6x9 speaker...

                              But I agree...6.5s > 6x9's

Your car looks pretty good though!
