WHats the best subs out there

If you are looking for SPL, Treo Engineering. If you are looking for more sound quality, I would look at JL. When it comes down to it, it is all personal preference. Just remember that you can take the cheapest sub in a great enclosure and make it sound better than the best sub in a crappy enclosure.

there quite a few great woofers, just depends on what you want to use it for. My rule is get as much cone area as possible, making the best of the air space you want to use/sacrifice, and provide it in a ported enclosure, with optimal power. But not to be a thread jacker, Right now I would have to say its a tie between DD 9500 series, RE Audio MT, and last but not least Fi Audio BTL fully loaded.

well im just goin by the models i see coming in on the price list.....now alot of people are callin the z's the 99's .... mixup maybe?

i am checkin the website and yes they removed the 99's but its the same as the Z..... man dd is actually staying ontop of the webite so far this year .... last year they were sooooooo slow lol

I didn't read through every page, but it is debatable what the best sub is, for SPL, you'll get one set of suggestions, for SQ, another and then if you want both SPL/SQ, another. Personal preference, and alot of listening to all varities of subs. Fortunately most audio shops have a wide enough variety that a good listen session should help anyone with their potential purchase. I personally am a huge Kicker fan, as I think they are have a pretty good SQ/SPL balance.

Anyone plan on putting their subs to the test, or if you have already, what db ratings have people been hitting?

wtf man diamond doesnt have a sub by that name.

answering the other question i put speakers to test everyday lol i have had 2 8's take 1k each for weeks. i have had 4 8's on 2.5k for months and finally blew one after playing for hours on end below tuning.

db rating that u speak of i burp at 143 flat 41hz. music i do 141 on the new TL at the dash not the kick or port.

i have 1 jl audio w7 13" and it sounds crazy love it wont trade it for the world


stick with this cause it gives a great sound

its all about the adjusment and how u adjust your eq or crossover
