ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

    Rear deck amp wiring help!

Hey I finally got the chance to try and wire my rear deck to my amp. I went to radio shack and got some av connectors so I could plug them into the low input jack on my amp. Here is what those look like

so I got the wires from my stereo and ran them to my amp with the av connector seen above. then I ran wires from my amp to my rear deck speakers.

The problem is when I plugged them in the only music that played was out of my sub. The door speakers didn't even work. so I unplugged the av cables and the door speakers worked fine. I could only get the rear deck speakers to work if I only plugged the middle piece in the jack. if the outer side touched the jack it didn't work? I don't understand why this doesn't work! HELP ME PLEASE! ! ! !

so u got a speaker wire converted to an rca? i bet you got the positive and negitive switched around.

but dude you may get a crap load of engine noise if u converted speaker wire to rca's
What makes me laugh about forums, is that no matter how much you try to help someone, they dont take the advice. Go ahead and do it the hard way.

You got to respect what you drive, and appreciate what you have, making the best of what you got. and if that means putting CAI, HID's, a phat stereo system, and a idiot in the drivers seat...then so be it!

How about a little more information on how you wired everything? Are your RCA cables straight RCA runs, or did you splice into your speaker outputs from the head unit? It sounds like you've got something reversed to me. Tell us what you did so we can see where you went wrong.

I did get a lot of engine noise in the speakers. I gave up on the idea though. what was weird was when I tried plugging the wires in differently the larger 18 gage wire grounded it out but it would work fine if I just plugged in the smaller wire alone. Do I really need to hook up my rear decks? I have 400 watt audiobahns in the rear deck and when I turn my music up loud it doesn't get enough power. The music skips and IT is Driving ME CRAZY ! ! ! ! ! I figure I just need a capacitor for my amp? I'm pushin a 400 watt sub with a 400 watt amp and I just bought a 2 farad capacitor off of ebay... for the rear deck all I have for them is the 200 watt amp built into my stereo.... what do you guys think?

MR Thread- I brought SEXY back- LOL
If it jams, force it. If it breaks, it needed replacement anyway.

stop doing it ghetto, buy a high-low or a line level converter and it will make things a little easier.
