ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

Not too hard took 2 hours for both doors

First i took the door off (drivers door)

and i unscrew the screws the hold the speaker grill in place

    This is what i got

Heres' the OLD Ugly Speaker (Made in Japan)Cone tweeter Had Fallen off

It was gonna be hard to Drill it to the Metal door
and i put it on the grille and My speakers Fit Pefectly and Tight
    without fallin out

    So i put them on
put some Silicone Glue on there and This Gorilla tape
and it was Stuff on there for good
i put the glue on the metal side of the speaker
    not hurting the actual speaker

    this is what i got

yes i got a little surprise on the passenger door
    Sony 3 way Speaker DAMN!!

But Sadly it was Blown and the Cone had a hole

so i replaced that one too

            Mods not Really

            just like

glued them to the Plastic Grille part

            and they stayed on good

if you don't want to glue nothing

            then they probally won't fit

unless you drill holes in the metal door

Sweet! I love to see people doing new things

PM me when you get to 30, Chris, and I'll move this to the DIY forum (I would now, but you couldn't reply to questions... which would defeat the purpose!)

I'll have to give this a shot. I have some crappy paper $25 Pioneers in there now, stock size.

What does it sound like? Any buzzing or anything from being attached to the grille?

                Nope it sounds Great

It just depends on the speaker

                Every Oval Speaker is Diffirent

My Pioneers just happened to fit STRAIGHT IN to the GRILLE

                enough to Glue down

                And thanks i'll pm you

i'll be doing other crazy stuff with my Accord Soon

Cool. New stuff is always good! I've been around for a long time, and there have been plenty of times where people said "there's nothing more we can do to our cars!"... bull, I say!

I'll have to check into the same speakers... I have a Pioneer setup myself, and my CB7 sound system is terrible... I never thought so, but then I got my GTP with the stock Bose system. It's the ONLY thing I like better than the Accord!

i have a old school rockford 7" fanatic Q driver in my door, so a 6x8 shouldnt be much work. I just hope you didnt do a hack job. I used alot of dynamat on my doors and welded up all the hole so i could get a clean solid sound

You dont have any issues with the window glass hitting the magnet?

I installed Pioneer 5.25s i believe and the glass hits the magnet so i gotta find a suitable spacer to space the speaker out enough to not hit the glass and allow the grill to fit over it.

I havent installed the pass side because of this.
