ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.
2 of 2 < >

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    15" Subs that pound

I know I asked this last year sometime, but yet again, I need some advice. I'm thinking of running 2 15" (ported box) in my CB7. What type of amp would I need for 2 15's? Also, would a capacitor be necessary?

This is want my setup to sound like.....King Kong In The Trunk!! How would I get 2 15's to sound like that? I might run 3 15's! I'm a madman if I actually put 3 15's in a CB7!

      Okay I'll play nice.....

A LARGE mono or "bridgable" amplifier, it's really going to depend on the subs that you select. Typically ported enclosures will draw LESS current than sealed for the same subs..... Just the nature of the beast.

Also, about 1-farad for every 1000 watts of power is a good rule of thumb.

Ok so u have 2 15s? how many watts are them apiece.

a CAP is good so u wont drain power. HOW EVER besides a good cap, I'd rather upgrade to a HIGH OUTPUT altanator

will u b runnin a amp for ur highs and mids?

I know I didn't post the question but as far as the H.O. alternator goes about how much do they go for cause I have a 1 farad cap currently but would like to upgrade the alternator instead?

I have an older 15" punch power dvc fosgate sub and a fosgate amp- the older good series one and it pounds plenty hard! you dont need two or three concentrate on box design because thats how you are going to be able to get the most bang for your buck if you dont want to spend 750$ one one good sub. box design is super important to make a 15 sound good otherwise its just going to sound boomy and shitty.

someones gonna need bullet proof windows, nah just get the stuff that is important first like a higher amp alternater, and battery, and alarm, then get the 3 15' in there, any audio shop might be able to give you advice on how to make a box, and how to wire everythin up
