ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

            hahahahahahhahaha!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

does it make the noise when the deck is on or off...do you have an aftermarket deck or factory...

first check your stuff, good rca's....good grounds etc.

most of the time at work we diagnose it as a bad deck, put another deck in and its all gravy.

the way i do it is this:

confirm that the grounds on the amp are good

run a known good rca from the deck to the sub real quick to see if it does it

does it still do it when the rca is disconnected?

            chassis ground the deck

put another known good deck with no noise. perferably same brand so that you dont have to swap harnesses.

if the new deck is still doing it, with the new and the old rca's then it may just be the amp.

this guy came in and his sub was bobbin back and forth and if he did anything the subs will make a weird sound...it was his deck.
What makes me laugh about forums, is that no matter how much you try to help someone, they dont take the advice. Go ahead and do it the hard way.

You got to respect what you drive, and appreciate what you have, making the best of what you got. and if that means putting CAI, HID's, a phat stereo system, and a idiot in the drivers seat...then so be it!

Are you running the RCA/spearker wires along side your power wire(s)? If so, run them on the other side of the car. Also you might want to try twist the rca/speaker wires together as you run them to your amp.

Ground loop problem, Its your RCA and maybe the power to the deck, Get high quality RCA's and see if the problem persists.

aftermarket deck, I had the same problem with my old CD player, and it eventually blew the outputs and made it so i could only hear the subwoofer. After I switched to a new deck, it didnt happen for a while, and now the bastard's back. I put a new ground on it a few months back, and I thought that fixed it, but sure enough after about a week it was humming again
oh, and it doesnt do it when the deck is off, just when its on. and if i remember right, it doesnt really do it when the car has just the battery on, just when the car is actually started.

i didnt read all of the post so if this is said already my bad
                      1. check your ground...the best place to ground ur amp is to the seatbelt bolt
                      2. u may need a new set of rca's
                      3. ur radio isnt properly grounded
if ur sub was on its way out it would sound like paper ripping (kinda) or u would get a popping sound when the bass hits
i believe ur hearing "engine noise" if thats the correct term
sold to the highest bidding stanger i miss this bitch

get a pair of rca's and sling them over to teh amp, no need to run them...is the sound still there??

if you fiddle the rcas at the amp does the sound come and go?

can also be a bad amp.

are you going through rca's or ghetto speaker level?
