I've got 2 Hifonics Zeus amps both rated at 600 watts RMS @ 2 ohms running almost all the time with some pretty mean power coming out of them, my lights don't dim my altenator doesn't strain, idle doesn't fluctuate. Nothing... It's all about using every bit of power that you already have. good high gauge wire and clean grounds, clean terminals and the shortest amount of wire you can use is your best bet. The only reason I think people even want capacitors is probably for more of a bling factor anyways. It's just one more thing to display numbers and make pretty colors.1992 Accord LX CB9 149K Stock

A good cap will keep your sound system from starving other electrical systems it's in all sense of the word another battery when charged.Comment

no the caps will pull the still. if a cap is used its for bling in spl apps and then in sq its for short low tones. but for everyday driving and daily listening its dumb and doesnt do a damn thing. if u get quailty amps wiring etc. and u do the big 3 and a better batt. i promise u will never need a cap and u will then see what u can do this the money the stupid shits cost.Originally posted by Mercfwd
