ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!
Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956
Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)
Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.
These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.
1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.
2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.
3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.
4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.
The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.
The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

I have had experiance with both companys. Sony makes power, but the H/U's dont last and the eye's have alot of trouble, making even the smallest scratches noticable and after half a year of use you can find it being very tempermental as to which "brand" cd's it will play.
I have sony speakers cause for the price they pull the best overall sound and power in my opinion.
I dont like pioneer speakers at all, like many stated they dont hold up under loud music and just sound like a pile of crap.
Pioneer H/U... best investment, even with the stiff susepension and motor mounts filled i can be beasting through rough country roads... and the comment i get after how stiff my car is... tends to be "damn, that cd player just dosn't skip"Engines hate me... thats why they commit suicide

For what it's worth, I've had the same system in my cb since '93, running Pioneer speakers from a Pioneer head through two sony amps. Worked for over fifteen years, but now one of the sony's died. I'd prolly do the same again. The dude above me's got the right Idea; just mix n' match whatever you like. At least that way you have something custom.

ok i understand some of us are more into audio and some are more motor and some more looks. but for cdplayers do urself a fav get one with 2-3 sets of rca outputs. use actual amps. now for a brand preference i would start with pioneer panasonic eclipse then alpine. there are a few others i might put in my car. rightnow i have an older alpine9827 that is feeding a memphis 50.2 and a eclipse xa1000. sounds wonderful just need more power for my subs.Members Ride sold...
I'm back...... with a coupe. oh boy here we go.

iv had everything listed and awhole lot more. Dont ever buy sony, just save yourself the time and throw your money in the trash. Alpine is awsome, but way to technical. ivwe got the exact same set up right now in my car as pictured above. Ive got the aubiobahn a8000 running 1 type r 12", and an alpine h/u. Yes, i think it sucks. It has very good SOUND QUALITY, but it overheats constantly. Its about 50/50 which is gonna give out first on every ride:either the h/u or the amp. Just turn your shit down and all these prob. go away! I dont ever turn mine down, i just blast it for the 15 min. a day that it works right. I could try and make it work better, but id rather go faster now. Im kinda over the whole "i cant go fast, but you can hear me around the block" thing. But
