Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

    Suggestions on Headunits

    ok.... my jvc kameleon head unit is taking a dump..... it barely opens and doesn't play half the cd's i put into it.... i've tried everything..... so now it's time to move on and just buy a new one.... let me know what headunits you suggest at say.... under $300.... also let me know why too (i.e. personal experiences, bad experiences, etc.)..... thanks for the help!

    Get a Alpine CDA-9856, or any Alpine at that. I used to have a Kenwood, and it took the shits on me. Music sounds so much better now. The bass hits deeper and the vocals seem crisper. I love the name search on it. Even if its not a MP3 it will search for the name of the artist and song and display it. The buttons are all placed in the best position for the driver. Also the build quality is better than most headunits that I've seen. Even a $500 Eclipse head unit didnt have the same quality build.

      Clarion or Alpine. Don't get the motorized face ones because the tend to break way more often. I've had both for a # of years and they still play great. Pioneer and Kenwood are good if you are into having alot of features.

        Get Alpine's Head Unit. I really recommend CDA-7894, CDA-9813 or CDA-9815. As far as I now those three have a power of 27 rms per channel and 60w peak power per channel. I owned cda-7894 and the sound quality is better than sony's head unit IMO. Do not forget to change your speakers to Alpine type s or type r speakers. You will feel the different, it feels like you have subs on your trunk.

          yeah i was going to change to Memphis audio speakers all around.... i already have 2 12's.... their ok.... but i'm thinkin about getting new memphis subs too... thanks for the input! keep it comin you guys!

              Wow your head unit blows Pirate. :
              I got a Sony Head unit that comes in real clear and was easy to setup. IDK if your looking for something good, but for 100 bucks mine wasn't too bad.

                i personally went thru tons (exaggerated) of pioneer headunits and its never gave me any problems at all. i also like the alpines and reading up on the reviews it seems like many ppl like them and gave them no problems
