suggestion on woofers

hellow cb7 tuner's well i have a question for you guys im plannin on buying only one sub for my car but i want a pretty good one that but that fits my budget well my amp is a 800w so if you guys can give me advice for a single woofer that can handle that power of a little more a found this subs so pleas give me your opinion

Depends on your budget. I will ONLY go with JL audio. If you want loud, and sharp, go with TREO. a 12" treo will handle that power and beg for more.

It depends on your amp, you said 800wts, but most amps dont necassarily put out what they say, agood rule to go by is the truly good amps are $.50-1.00 per watt. I am a true fan of MASSIVE AUDIO I'm running 1 massive RS100, thats rated at 100wtts into 2 12's(massive) running in the trunk class dropping 148dbs. Each sub was 150.

Ok i had a 800 wat fosgate punch 800.2 running 2 fosgate p's and it was loud as hell I aggree if you are ganna do it do it JL audio but thare sub's are expensive ( you get what you pay for ) if you are not gana go jl then go fosgate p'2 or p'3 and get 2 of them in a sealed box sounds nice in a CB7's trunk. im running 1 JL 12w6v2d4 in a vented box and it is hella loud and very crisp with the punch 800.2. Just my little input for you. Jeff.

I only use JL subs and older model Rockford HX2's. Also the sound will depend on your amp, a 800 watt Jensen amp isnt the same as a 800 watt old school Rockford or series 6 or 7 Hifonics amp

I'm selling a very good new ED sub for only slightly more than $100 plus I still have four 8" for sale.

depends on the amp. Are you looking for clarity, spl, or both? One thing I like to do is take music that I LISTEN TOO and see if it enhances(sounds real nice) the music if not then I go to the next. Also remember that most shops have certain amp/sub combos that are setup to sound great there but might not once in the car. Some brands that I feel are mid-line are MTX, Alpine, Memphis, and Treo.
