ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

how'd you run the power line for the amp, and the cables for the amp? if they're running right next to each other, that can produce a buzzing sound. well so i heard, on crutchfield. might wantto try running them on opposite sides of the car? it'd be a pain in the ass, but lets just put that as a last resort.

but check the ground, and the RCA's. if that stuff doesn't work, try to get a different amp in there just to test it, and see if theres still a buzzing sound. if there is, get a new amp.

cheap ass rca's can do it as well.

is the amp a MTX by the way?

sometimes if you tried what they said by seperating the power and rca and it still is there, then sometimes it can be the deck or the amp itself, i usually take a wire that is attached to metal at the decck, and then wrap the outside of the rca terminal, basically i make a ground loop isolator and if the problem was within the deck then that solved it.

        heheh
What makes me laugh about forums, is that no matter how much you try to help someone, they dont take the advice. Go ahead and do it the hard way.

You got to respect what you drive, and appreciate what you have, making the best of what you got. and if that means putting CAI, HID's, a phat stereo system, and a idiot in the drivers seat...then so be it!

well its kinda like this though:
when my head unit is on, and my lights are off, there is no buzzing sound.
however, when my head unit is on, and my lights are on as well, when i turn down the volume of my head unit, I can hear a slight buzzing sounds, because the light is on. I know this for a fact, because when the lights are off, there is no buzzing sound. Weird eh? My friend who helped me install it says he's never heard of this

actually i've seen it alot. that sound is from inteferce from the alternator. u get that when u run the power and rca cables down the same side of the car. the must be on seperate sides. if they are on seperate sides it may be the rca's themselfs. most of the time if u have a bad ground u get noise from the engine mixed in with ur bass not that buzzing sound.

                does

does your headlights dim when the bass hits? thats pretty much how you can tell if your using to much power, in which case the best route is to get a capacitor, which I recomend anyways just due to power usage of the entire car. But yes the best way is to run the rcas vs. power wires on opposite sides of your car. Good luck!

i had that same thing happen to me couldnt figure it out for the longest, so i nevered turned down my music...lol
but heres some fixes, or at least what i did to fix mine
                  1. the ground wire needs to be grounded very well, try 1 of those holes in the trunk w/ a nice big screw(also make sure theres no paint, just metal, PURE metal

                  2. NEVER run ur pwer stuff on the same side as the rca cables, u'll also get a hummin sound when u turn it down, not just when the lights are on....annoyin as hell

                  3. like everyone said, really crappy rca cables, just change em

honestly, i always run the power with the rca and never had an issue, though i use good rca's but sometimes in some cars it dont work that way haha.

w/ the RCA cables, it depends on the insulation of the cable, plus the fiber wires inside, IN OTHER WORDS, u get what u paid for

sometimes it does, but there are rca's that are 120 bucks which i think are just wayy too much...i think around the 40 dollar range is good...lol
