Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

    need help with subs!

    i have 2 12" Kicker XPL subs. how many watts do they have? wats the biggest amp u can put on it? i have a kicker 250.2 amp with it know but i want more bass.

    THIS IS ONLY THE BEGINNING!!!

    Uh i'd get like a 700 rms amp for it, right now i have a 700 rms amp pounding two 12'' kicker comps, they're not messing up.

    (labeled at 150 rms each)

      kicker comps? hit up the kicker cvr's much more punch

      www.kicker.com has specs on subwoofers and amps check em out.
      What makes me laugh about forums, is that no matter how much you try to help someone, they dont take the advice. Go ahead and do it the hard way.

      You got to respect what you drive, and appreciate what you have, making the best of what you got. and if that means putting CAI, HID's, a phat stereo system, and a idiot in the drivers seat...then so be it!

        Find out your RMS watt's on your own. that's easy. after you find that, find an amp rated 100 watts +\-. The great thing about subs is you can over power them

          i would go with something around 1000 - 1200watts @ 4 ohms max power should be around 450-600 watts rms @ 4 ohms

            usually if you look on the back of your subs it will tell u min and max power if u can't find it there i'm sure u can somewhere here on the internet just search around. if you don't know a whole lot about subs or amps its really hard to explain ohms and stuff like that but i can tell u if u have a 250x2 amp its probably really only putting like 100 true watts to each speaker, u need to go out and get an amp with at least 1000 watts, and don't buy anything generic or it will probably still only get a few hundred watts.

              good rule of thumb for OHMS: higher the ohm, the more watts and vice versa, hence why 1 ch. amps mostly go around 2 or 1 ohms

                not to knock on anybody ...but please if you have no facts to back up statements when people are asking legitamit questions dont post, cause all its going to do is confuse the person posting and can cause the person to get false advise and information and thats not why were here ...

                In Need of an engine, just a basic f22a...pm me if you have one willing to part with.
