ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

    power antenna for n/a DX

hey i was wondering if I could install a power antenna on a 91 DX that orginally didn't come with one from the factory. Right now i have a treaded iron rod as an antenna(ghetto). I wanna put an oem one back in and found some power ones on ebay. Any thoughts about these? has anyone tried this before? Thanks, BTW, I'm new on here. I just bought a 91 accord dx. My other car is a 98 eclipse GST with all stage 2 mods putting 300 whp down with front LSD. EVO big16G turbo. I also have some stock parts left from the swap and thought about either installing them on the DX or selling them.

well of course you can do it it your just going to have to get the motor and everything for it and put it in it has the hole on the rear drivers side corterpanal right then jst stick it in there it shouldnt be aproblem youll ahve to splice the wires to it for the power from eather your speaker or break line or something im not exactly sure but im sure someone on here knows off the top of there head but if i where you id invest in a helms manual its worth the $20

yeah, if it has the OEM wiring to that area, it should be easy to put in. even if not, all it needs is 3 wires: +12v while the car is on, +12v when the radio is on, and a ground.

try this from the DIY section, even though its for removal of the mast, it gives you most of what you need.

isnt there a thing that makes it retract when you open the trunk, too? i know mine does, but i have the factory spoiler on it, so it may be a thing specific to that cuz itll hit. of course, my head unit only extends it if i have the radi oitself on, and not cds, so it is usually down.

a haynes manual is probably your best bet, maybe find some factory wiring diagrams, just in case you have to run the wires.

Yes that retract with the trunk is governed by an extra relay in the trunk for CB7s with factory spoilers only.
