Kicker L7

Does anyone have experience with these subs? Ive heard alot about them but was wondering if they are just hyped up. Anyone care to throw their two cents in?

My cuzin has two 10 L7 kicker. They bump very good but he has a alpine v12 amp and some other amp also I think a profile. It is very expensive I think they are worth it. Make sure you get a good amp though.

i got 2 10" L7s, and they kick hard, people never believe me that its just 2 10s. these speakers will destroy your amp if you dont know what your doing

Yeah they're loud, but square subs will break faster than round ones because of uneven stress points. And sq goes out the window too.
Speakers cant destroy your amp, unless you wire it at too low of an ohm, then you'll have fireworks in your trunk.

anyways. dont get them. they are way too much money, and you can get much better subs for the same cost, or even cheaper. also, they are an inferior design. the square sub causes uneven stress on the "cone" and can cause premature driver failure. also, they do not have great SQ at all, unless you REALLY know what you are doing, but you dont, so they might be loud, but they wont be clear-sounding.

I wasnt going to get them. I was just asking everyones opinion on the L7's. I like Inifinity speakers, but I always hear people brag about the L7 and Ive never heard one in person before. I may be new to this website, and fairly green to the CB7 but Ive been tinkering with car audio and my cd5 since 98. Granted I dont work in either industry but I know enough to keep myself out of trouble. Im not trying to get into a pissing match with you, but you shouldnt just assume things about people.

i also have two 10" L7's, and i love them. they pound hard, and the sq is awesome, contrary to what some ppl are saying. mine are in a sealed box, but im tempted to build a ported one to see what it would sound like. i reccomend them, IMO

i think the l7's are a good speaker. you have to have the right amp for them like several said above. i had a set of l7 12's and they hit really hard.

I plan on buying a 12" L7 later on this year..every solo-baric i've ever encountered has sounded great so this is my reason for wanting one.

Also amp makes a huge difference with any speaker/subwoofer.
All the L7's I've heard were running off Power Acoustik amps (which is what I have now), but I will be buying a Kicker amp and using the Kicker ported box for max. sound quality.

the l7's are a good speaker with clean and hard pounding bass.. just gotta get the right gauge wire and amp to push them. i got 2 12's in a sealed box made by kicker with a 500/1 jl audio mono block pushes them just fine alot of bass. but if you want to put them even more get the 1000/1 jl audio
