Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

    6x9's. help.

    ok i have 2 kenwood 6x9s. i was wondering if their is a way i can put them in place of the back speakers of a 91 honda accord lx?

    THIS IS ONLY THE BEGINNING!!!

    Take the cover off the rea speakers and compare. I believe all speakers with the same measurements use the same bolt patterns... if not, then you might have to frill new holes. Some speakers also com with their own covers... If your speakers won't fit the original covers, then use the ones with the speakers, if yours came with them that is.

    If you've got a problem, I might have an answer... or a sledgehammer.

        I have an LX that housed 6.5's .. I installed 6x9's by simply using a dremel .. and
        making the hole larger .. BUT .. make the hole's larger toward the *front* of the car.
        The two bars that run across the trunk .. could impede installation .. easy to do ..

          I've got a '93 EX. Would that make it 6.5 in the front and 6x9 in back? Just want to make sure I buy the right speakers.


          generic short-ram
          generic strut tower bar
          hid bulbs all around
          amber bumper + clear corners (soon to be amber)

            You do have 6x9's in the rear deck .. but there seems to be 2 different sizes in the front of EX's.

              5 up front and 6x9 out back. Thanks. Now I just need to find some damn good speakers lol.

                you may have to cut the speaker pod a bit. you could always pick up some LX pods or simply some spacers to fit 6.5s and just trash the ex pod.
