Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

    what speakers do you like?

    im thinking about getting some new alpine speakers for my car, but kinda close on money. what do you guys have? do you like them?

    i had alpine type-s 6.5 and 2 alpine type-e 12s and 2 alpine amps and i loved it

      sony xplode are pretty good. I have one 1500 watts sub and its real loud
      H23 and 5 speed swap fund- $700

        I have Alpine Type R 6.5" components in front and Alpine Type R 6x9s in back. Both are hooked up to a Jensen 100x2 watt amp and they sound great imo. Only paid $130 for the front components brand new from ebay....

                Infinity, Eclipse and Alpine are all of great quality. If you purchase quality components and fine tune your system (dont just plug in and play) then you will have a great sounding system that you will not regret.

                    Those were the type speakers i was leaning towards. Either those or the Type R's.

                            I have 4 alpine 5.25 type-s and I love them. They don't have great lows unless you adjust the bass but I have 2 subs so it is perfect.

                              I had 4 sony 4 way 6.5 all around running off of a alpine 45 x 4 which sounded great. The speakers are 50 a pair at walmart pretty cheap for a system that did not need an amp to have good sound (imo). I gave those to my wife to put in here 95 Accord because I bought some ex pods.

                              I was looking at alpines but decided on kickers instead. Currently running the KS693 6x9's in the rear and still have the sony's in the front till I get sometime to install my ks6.2 component set. I just prefer 3 ways more sound ( unless you have a component set with an external crossover). My kickers 6x9's (30hz 100watts rms ) hit hard and sound great. Bought them for $90 shipped of of ebay from Hooked on Tronics.
