ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

i like having more than one size sub. my cuz has a 12 and i let him have one of my 10s and it sounds sick being able to pick up the differnent frequencies.
when i get my amp back im going to use my 18 for lows asss tones and a 10 for a lil punch.
guess you aren't going for SQ then...haha

personally, i cannot stand the sound of a given frequency being played at two different volumes...and that's IF you can set up the system correctly in the first place, which i doubt..

well im just talking about the low frequencies like in that song laffy taffy theres the two bass tones and if u have a 12 u cant get both that well...with the ten and the 12 u can here both ... and yes i love sq just as everyone else does, i would love to have nice speakers and all that shit but i dont have the money. i just spent about 15 hundred $ on turbo shit. like i said a shit load of bass is just fun once and a while

when i have the money to get nice speakers im going to just use my 10" (mostly cuz the 18 is heavy as hell) but i dont really care about bass that much its just cool to unload it once and a while

so you are saying that a 10" sub can play freqs that a 12" sub can't?? or am i misunderstanding you??

oh..i dont see how that is..being that the only way a 12 couldnt play a frequency is taht its not large enough to produce a wave that large..such as the huge waves of low frequencies..but you said that a 12 can't make that better than 10s..hmm, and if you were talking about higher frequencies..you are still wrong...a 12 is more than capable of producing higher frequencies as well..if it gets high enough that a 12 can't make it and a 10 will (i fully admit, this WILL happen, if you go high enough) then you get into the range of midbasses and this is all just a big moot point..im just telling you what i know, you are arguing a point that you dont really know about..

im not trying to argue w/ you im just tellin you what we heard

if u dont belive me find a cd youve listen to a thousand times so u know how well it picks up the bass notes then get a smaller or bigger sub from a friend or sumtin and hook it up.....you will here it picking up bass notes that your sub wasnt

What model is the 12 and what model is the 10? Different subs play differently.

shitty ones (an 12" xplod and a 10" $30 rockford) i guess that could be whats causing the confusion

but still you cant say that they dont pick up differnt bass notes or frecencies becuase then there wouldnt be much need for differnt size subs

I like a single 10 with a rich and deep bass, not boomy.

yeah, no need for it, cept the fact that some people like rock, so you dont need 12's rock lacks in lower bass frequencies..then you have price..10s are cheaper...then you have space..10s are smaller..then you have power demands..10's (usually) require less power (sometimes the same)

yeah, there's no market for different sized subs regardless of sound at all...

got a single 12, no amp, just aftermarket stereo. sounds great, and no it wasn't a money issue personal preference.
