ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

I don't understand why the hate fr the square. I have a 15" L7 and I absolutely love it. Tight, clean bass for rock, and it can go deep and low for techno or rap for stereo comps.

They'll break faster because of their uneven stress points.

Exactly, the motor structure in component subwoofers is round, and so to evenly distribute the mass of the cone and the air it pushes it too should be round!
Besides they were made for people who can't cut a circle! LOL

I've got a single 8" kicker compvr. I bought it because i got a really good deal on an amp that matched up perfectly. It's real loud inside the car, but unfortunately, not too impressive to anyone outside

who cares what people outside the car think? As long as you like it, then its a good system.

This is something that i've been looking to get answered. I see the majority of ppl either say 10 or 12's but what about for the evening out of space, sound, and cost. I know 10's would be cheaper than 12's depending on mfg but for an all around setup which would be optimal for space and sound ? I like the way the 12's look in that euro accord was. As long as it's custom fitted to the car, i don't just want some box thrown into the trunk, i want it fitted into that space between the towers.

                    sorry for the hijacking.
                    I love the bouncy...it's great...

I ran one JL 10 in a custom box and that thing pounded. I dont think I would need any more than that. Clean and balanced.

I've got one 12'' type R in a box that surely isn't the right size but, i'm going to replace it for a 12'' cdt es-sq-120 when I'll be able to find someone to bye me my type R.
