ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

    No front speakers or wires.

Well, i went to install some aftermarket front speakers in my car today, and i found out it has no wires for the front speakes. At least not on the left side. I dug around behind the door and looked everywhere for the wires and found nothing. i knew it had no front speakers, i was just no expecting there to be no speaker wires. Is this normal? If not, how do i fix it?

its not normal if one side has no speaker wire. Either you missed it or someone ripped it out.

Run a new one if you cant find it through the boot. A short coat hanger will work. It will take some time.
What makes me laugh about forums, is that no matter how much you try to help someone, they dont take the advice. Go ahead and do it the hard way.

You got to respect what you drive, and appreciate what you have, making the best of what you got. and if that means putting CAI, HID's, a phat stereo system, and a idiot in the drivers seat...then so be it!

sounds like someone took the wire with them. however you can fix it by tracing the wire from the back of the head unit if it is still there.

make wire long enough to back to the new speaker, and bam! sound you will feel awesome and get to listen to your carly rae jepsen CD in NO time.

looks like you might have to run new wires, it could take some time cuz i've done it before, it wasn't fun. use a coat hanger like accordztech said.

I believe the front speaker size is 6.5's. That is what I have in the front door's of my sedan.

Good to know. Thank you! Does anyone know the mounting depth inside the door, and also the maximum spacer allowed before hitting the door panel?

Yup. run new ones. if you want any kind of decent sound youll need to do this anyway. use plenty of windex to lube up the wire harnesses and use the hugest ziptie you can find (i used a 3ft one that was hella thick) and attach the new wire to the end. Dont go mexi on it and run it outside the door panel. its a pain in the dick, and it will require removal of the bumper and quarter to gain access to the harness, but its worth doing. Hell in the meantime, might as well run extra wires for power folding mirrors and heated mirror grids while youre at it
